2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly

The CBVELO Electric Bike arrives 90% pre-assembled. The remaining assembly steps are straightforward and typically include attaching the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat.

4.1 Unpacking

1. Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging.
2. Remove all protective packaging materials.
3. Retain the original packaging for future transport or warranty claims.

4.2 Component Installation

Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

1. Install the Front Wheel: Align the front wheel with the front fork. Ensure the disc brake rotor slides correctly into the caliper. Secure the wheel using the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
2. Attach the Handlebars: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork steerer tube. Adjust the height and angle for comfortable riding, then tighten the stem bolts securely.
3. Install the Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads before installation.
4. Adjust the Seat: Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube. Adjust the seat height using the quick-release lever to ensure your legs have a slight bend at the knee when the pedal is at its lowest point.
5. Install the Battery: Insert the fully charged battery into its designated compartment on the frame. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

5. Operating Instructions

Understanding the controls and riding modes will enhance your riding experience.

5.1 Battery Charging

The 48V 720WH lithium-ion battery provides a range of up to 80 miles on a single charge. A full charge typically takes 6 hours.

• On-Bike Charging: Connect the charger directly to the charging port on the bike.
• Off-Bike Charging: Remove the battery from the bike and connect it to the charger.

The charger indicator light will turn green when charging is complete.

5.2 LCD Display and Controls

5.3 Riding Modes

Your CBVELO e-bike offers 5 riding modes and 5 Pedal Assist Levels (PAS) for versatile riding.

• Pure Electric Mode: The bike is powered solely by the motor, controlled by the throttle.
• Pedal Assist Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. There are 5 levels of assistance, allowing you to choose the amount of power boost.
• Classic Bike Mode: The electric assist is off, and the bike functions as a traditional bicycle.

5.4 Gearing and Braking

• 7-Speed Transmission: Use the thumb shifter to change gears, adapting to different terrains and inclines.
• Mechanical Disc Brakes: The front and rear mechanical disc brakes, combined with the EABS system, provide powerful and reliable stopping power. Always apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal control.
