Setup

  1. Unpacking and Inspection: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Ensure all parts listed in Figure 2 are present.
  2. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Securely attach one end of the high-pressure hose (13) to the sprayer's outlet (9) and the other end to the spray gun (3). Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  3. Attach Spray Gun and Nozzle: Connect the desired spray nozzle (1) to the spray gun (3). If using, attach the extension pole (2) between the spray gun and the nozzle.
  4. Install Suction Hose: Insert the suction hose (14) into the material cup (10) or directly into the paint container. Ensure the filter on the end of the suction hose is fully submerged in the paint.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the power cord (12) to a suitable grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Paint: Ensure paint is properly mixed and free of debris. While this sprayer is designed for thinning-free operation, some paints may benefit from minimal thinning according to paint manufacturer's recommendations.
  2. Prime the Sprayer:
    • Place the suction hose into the paint.
    • Turn the pressure regulating valve (8) to the lowest setting.
    • Turn the pressure relief valve (7) to the "Prime" or "Drain" position.
    • Turn on the sprayer using the On/off Switch (5). Allow paint to circulate until a steady stream flows from the drain hose, indicating air has been purged.
    • Once primed, turn the pressure relief valve (7) to the "Spray" position.
  3. Adjust Pressure: Slowly increase the pressure using the pressure regulating valve (8) until the desired spray pattern is achieved. Test on a scrap surface.
  4. Spraying Technique:
    • Maintain a consistent distance (approx. 10-12 inches) from the surface.
    • Move the spray gun in smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass by about 50%.
    • Release the trigger at the end of each stroke to prevent paint buildup.
    • Utilize the 12-inch extension pole for hard-to-reach areas.
  5. Cleaning After Use: Immediately after painting, follow the maintenance steps to clean the sprayer thoroughly.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of your airless paint sprayer. Always clean the unit immediately after each use.

  1. Initial Rinse:
    • Remove the suction hose from the paint and place it into a bucket of clean water (for water-based paints) or appropriate cleaning solvent (for oil-based paints).
    • Turn the pressure relief valve to "Prime" or "Drain" and run the sprayer until clear liquid comes out, flushing out residual paint.
  2. System Flush:
    • Turn the pressure relief valve to "Spray".
    • Spray the cleaning solution through the gun into a waste container until the liquid runs clear.
    • Turn off the sprayer and disconnect from power.
  3. Clean Nozzle and Filter: Remove the spray tip and guard. Clean them thoroughly with a brush and cleaning solution. Check and clean any inline filters in the gun handle or manifold.
  4. External Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the sprayer and hose with a damp cloth.
  5. Storage: Store the sprayer in a clean, dry place, protected from freezing temperatures. For long-term storage, consider using a pump protector fluid.
