CYCLAMI Ultralight TPU Mountain Bike Inner Tubes Instruction Manual

Model: MTB26

Product Overview

The CYCLAMI Ultralight TPU Mountain Bike Inner Tubes are designed for mountain bikes and road bikes, offering a lightweight and durable alternative to traditional butyl rubber tubes. These tubes are compatible with 26x1.9-2.5" tires and feature a 45mm French Presta valve. They are engineered for enhanced performance, including reduced rotational weight, improved puncture resistance, and lower rolling resistance.

  • Universal Fit: Compatible with 26x1.9-2.5" tires and 45mm Presta valves.
  • Ultra-Lightweight: Weighing approximately 63g per tube, significantly lighter than standard butyl tubes.
  • Military-Grade Durability: Constructed with 0.3mm reinforced TPU walls for superior puncture resistance and pressure handling (up to 150 PSI).
  • Low Rolling Resistance: Thinner profile minimizes tire friction for improved speed and efficiency.

Installation Guide

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of your CYCLAMI TPU inner tube. Follow these steps carefully.

Pre-Installation Check

Before installing the new TPU inner tube, ensure there are no foreign objects inside the tire or on the rim strip that could cause punctures. Inspect the tire thoroughly for any sharp debris.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Prepare the Inner Tube: Slightly inflate the TPU inner tube (less than 3 PSI) to give it shape. This helps prevent pinching during installation. WARNING: Do not inflate the empty inner tube more than 5 PSI, as this can cause irreversible damage.
  2. Check for Leaks: Immerse the slightly inflated inner tube in water to check for any air leaks. If bubbles appear, indicating a leak, do not proceed with installation and contact support.
  3. Insert Valve: Locate the air nozzle hole on the wheel hub. Insert the Presta valve of the TPU inner tube through this hole.
  4. Position Inner Tube: Carefully place the inner tube inside the outer tire, ensuring it is evenly distributed around the rim.
  5. Install Outer Tire: Begin installing one bead of the outer tire onto the wheel hub. Then, carefully work the second bead onto the rim. This step requires patience to avoid pinching the inner tube. Tire levers can be used, but exercise extreme caution to prevent damaging the TPU tube.
  6. Inflate: Once the outer tire is fully seated, inflate the inner tube to the recommended pressure. Refer to the maximum air pressure indicated on your tire (e.g., 120 PSI / 8.3 BAR).
  7. Apply Nozzle Sticker: Install the provided nozzle sticker over the valve stem base to help prevent dust and water from entering the tire's interior.

Usage and Maintenance

Maintaining Tire Pressure

Regularly check your tire pressure using a reliable gauge. Maintaining the correct pressure, as indicated on your tire sidewall, is essential for performance, comfort, and puncture prevention. Over-inflation or under-inflation can lead to issues.

Puncture Repair

In the event of a puncture, CYCLAMI TPU inner tubes can be repaired using a standard TPU patch kit. Ensure the area around the puncture is clean and dry before applying the patch. No glue is required for these self-adhesive patches.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Frequent PuncturesDebris in tire, improper tire pressure, sharp rim strip.Thoroughly inspect tire and rim strip for debris. Maintain correct tire pressure. Replace worn rim strip.
Air Leakage (slow)Small puncture, loose valve core, valve stem issue.Check for punctures and patch if necessary. Tighten valve core. Inspect valve stem for damage.
Tube Pinching during InstallationInsufficient pre-inflation, improper tire seating.Ensure tube is slightly inflated (less than 3 PSI) before seating. Carefully work tire beads onto rim, avoiding pinching.
