3. Installation
3.1 Mounting the Sight
The Osight SE is designed with an RMSc footprint, allowing for direct mounting to optics-ready slides. Ensure your firearm's slide is compatible with the RMSc footprint. Use the appropriate screws from the included Osight SE Screw Kit for secure installation. Apply a small amount of thread locker (not included, but often pre-applied on screws) to the screws before tightening to prevent loosening from recoil.

4. Operation
4.1 Reticle System
The Osight SE features a versatile dual reticle system. You can switch between three modes:
- 2 MOA Dot & 32 MOA Circle: Provides a combined aiming solution for various scenarios.
- 2 MOA Dot Only: For precise aiming.
- 32 MOA Circle Only: For rapid target acquisition.
Refer to the user manual for specific button presses to cycle through reticle options.

4.2 Brightness Adjustment
The sight offers 8 daylight brightness settings and 2 night vision compatible levels, providing versatility for any lighting conditions. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the side of the optic to adjust the brightness up or down.
4.3 Battery Replacement
The Osight SE utilizes a side-load battery compartment, allowing for battery replacement without removing the optic from your firearm. This design helps maintain your zero. To replace the battery, locate the battery compartment on the side of the sight, unscrew the cap, replace the battery (ensure correct polarity), and securely fasten the cap.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and clarity, regularly clean the lenses and exterior of your Osight SE. Use the included cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Low Battery Indicator
If the battery voltage drops below 2.2V, the reticle will blink 3 times every minute. This indicates that an immediate battery replacement is required to ensure continuous operation.
6.2 Reticle Not Appearing or Dim
- Check Battery: Ensure the battery is correctly installed with the proper polarity and is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Adjust Brightness: Increase the brightness setting using the '+' button.
- Clean Lens: A dirty lens can obscure the reticle. Clean the lens as described in the Maintenance section.
6.3 Loss of Zero
- Check Mounting Screws: Ensure all mounting screws are securely tightened. Recoil can sometimes loosen screws over time.
- Verify Compatibility: Confirm that the sight is correctly mounted on a compatible footprint using the appropriate screws.
- Battery Compartment Screw: Ensure the battery compartment screw is fully tightened. In some designs, this screw may be mistaken for a windage adjustment screw, leading to accidental loosening.
