Setup and Connection

Connecting Alpha 2000X Expansion Battery

The Alpha 2000X Expansion Battery extends the capacity of your Alpha 2000 power station. It uses safe communication parallel technology, allowing connection or disconnection at any time.

1. Use the provided extension parallel cable to connect the Alpha 2000 to the Alpha 2000X expansion battery.
2. After connection, the battery's built-in chip will automatically detect and validate the connection, then power on.

Figure 3: Expansion Battery Connection. This image illustrates the two steps for connecting the Alpha 2000 to an Alpha 2000X expansion battery using the parallel cable.

Note: The Alpha 2000X Expansion Battery cannot be used independently; it requires connection to the Alpha 2000 power station for charging and discharging. It is only compatible with the Alpha 2000 model.

Charging the Power Station

The Alpha 2000 supports multiple charging methods:

• AC Charging: Use the included AC charging cable to connect to a standard wall outlet. The unit supports fast charging up to 1500W.
• Solar Charging: Connect compatible solar panels (10-100V output, max 800W) using the provided Solar to XT60 cable. The Alpha 2000 has an XT-60 input interface.
• Car Charging: Use the Car charger to XT60 cable to charge from your vehicle's 12V outlet.

Important: It is not possible to use both AC and DC power for charging simultaneously. AC power will take priority. If AC power is disconnected, the system will automatically switch to DC charging if available.

Operating Instructions

Powering Devices

The Alpha 2000 can power devices with a total power consumption below 3600W (E-Turbo mode). Ensure all connected devices are rated below this limit.

Figure 5: Whole-Home Power Solution. This image shows the Alpha 2000 and an expansion battery powering a projector and other devices in a home setting.

The power station features various output ports, including AC outlets, DC ports, and USB ports, to accommodate different devices.

E-Turbo Output (3600W Boost Power)

The Alpha 2000 provides a rated power of 2000W, with an E-Turbo Boost Power mode reaching up to 3600W. This allows it to handle high-wattage appliances such as kettles, electric heaters, ovens, and hair dryers.

To utilize the E-Turbo mode, simply connect your high-wattage appliance to an AC outlet on the power station. The system will automatically adjust to provide the necessary boosted power.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Function

When connected to an AC power source, the Alpha 2000 can function as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). In the event of a power outage, it automatically switches to battery power within 30 milliseconds, ensuring continuous operation for connected devices.

Troubleshooting (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1: What devices can the Alpha 2000 power?

A: The Alpha 2000 can charge or power devices with a power consumption below 3600W. All connected devices should also be rated below 3600W.

Q2: What is the life expectancy of the battery?

A: The LiFePO4 battery is rated for 6000 full charge cycles. At this point, it will retain approximately 80% of its original capacity, with a gradual decline thereafter. The battery can function beyond 6000 cycles, but its optimal performance may not be maintained.

Q3: How do I know the remaining working time for my device?

A: You can check the screen of the Alpha 2000 for the estimated working time. Alternatively, calculate it using the formula: Working time = 2048Wh * 0.85 / device working power. Connecting additional extended battery packs will increase the working time.

Q4: What solar panel specifications are compatible with the Alpha 2000?

A: The Alpha 2000 features an XT-60 input interface. Use solar panels with a 10-100V output and a maximum power of 800W. The power station supports various brands of solar panels that meet these parameters.

Q5: Can I use the Alpha 2000X Expansion Battery separately?

A: No, the expansion battery cannot be used alone. It must be connected to the Alpha 2000 power station for charging and discharging.

Q6: Is the Alpha 2000X compatible with other power stations?

A: The Alpha 2000X is only compatible with the Alpha 2000 model and cannot be used with other power stations.
