3. Setup

The WONLINK WLAN Repeater offers multiple setup methods for your convenience.

3.1 WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) Method

1. Plug the repeater into a power outlet near your main router.
2. Wait for the power indicator light to stabilize.
3. Press the WPS button on your main router.
4. Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the WONLINK WLAN Repeater.
5. The indicator light on the repeater will flash and then turn solid, indicating a successful connection.
6. Once connected, you can unplug the repeater and move it to a desired location within the range of your main router's signal.

3.2 Web Interface Method

1. Plug the repeater into a power outlet.
2. Connect your computer or mobile device to the repeater's default Wi-Fi network (SSID usually starts with "WONLINK" or similar, check the label on the device). No password is required for the initial connection.
3. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.1 or repeater.net - refer to the device label or manual for the exact address).
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your desired operating mode (Repeater, AP, or Router) and configure the network settings, including selecting your main Wi-Fi network and setting a new password for the extended network.
5. Save the settings and restart the repeater if prompted.

4. Operating Modes

The WONLINK WLAN Repeater supports three main operating modes:

• Repeater Mode (Range Extender): Extends the existing Wi-Fi coverage of your main router. This is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones.
• AP Mode (Access Point): Converts a wired network connection into a wireless one. Connect the repeater to your router via an Ethernet cable, and it will broadcast a new Wi-Fi network.
