LED Indicator Light
The power base features an LED indicator light on the front to communicate its status:
- Solid Blue: Batteries are fully charged and the unit is operating normally on AC power.
- Flashing Blue: Batteries are currently charging.
- Solid Red: The power base batteries are actively powering the display due to a power outage.
- Flashing Red: Batteries are running low and require recharging.

Maintenance
Battery Care
The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are designed for long-term use. To maximize battery life, ensure the power base remains connected to AC power when not in use to keep the batteries charged. If the unit will be stored for an extended period, fully charge the batteries before storage and recharge them every few months.
Cleaning
Clean the power base and display with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surfaces. Ensure the unit is unplugged from AC power before cleaning.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AcuRite UPS Power Base, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Display Not Powering On or Charging:
- Ensure the AC power adapter is securely plugged into both the power base and a working electrical outlet.
- Verify that the rechargeable batteries are correctly installed in the power base with proper polarity.
- Confirm your HD display is properly docked into the power base.
- LED Indicator Not Functioning:
- Check all power connections.
- If the unit is completely unresponsive, try a different power outlet.
- Short Battery Backup Time:
- Ensure the batteries have had sufficient time to fully charge (indicated by a solid blue LED).
- Battery performance can degrade over time. If backup time significantly decreases, consider replacing the internal rechargeable batteries.
- Display Issues When Docked (e.g., signal loss, incorrect readings):
- Some users have reported potential interference with wireless signals or display functionality when certain accessories are connected. Try undocking the display and operating it with its original power source to isolate the issue.
- Ensure the display model is listed as compatible.
