3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Earphones

Before first use, fully charge the earphones. The Q40 HD supports fast charging via its Type-C port.

• Connect the provided Type-C cable to the charging port on the inline control.
• Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source.
• A full charge provides up to 20 hours of playback.
• For quick use, a 10-minute charge can provide approximately 5 hours of playback.

Important: To prevent water damage, ensure the charging port area is completely dry before opening the cover for charging. After charging, securely close the charging port cover.

3.2 Power On/Off

• Power On: Long press the multi-function button for approximately 3 seconds.
• Power Off: Long press the multi-function button for approximately 3 seconds.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing

The Q40 HD uses Bluetooth 6.0 for stable and fast connections.

1. Ensure the earphones are powered off.
2. Long press the multi-function button until the LED indicator flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, PC), enable Bluetooth and search for "SOUNDPEATS Q40 HD" in the list of available devices.
4. Select "SOUNDPEATS Q40 HD" to connect. Once connected, the LED indicator will turn solid blue.

3.4 Multipoint Connection

The Q40 HD supports multipoint connection, allowing you to connect to two devices simultaneously (e.g., a smartphone and a PC).

1. First, pair the earphones with Device A.
2. Disconnect the earphones from Device A's Bluetooth settings. The earphones will re-enter pairing mode.
3. Pair the earphones with Device B.
4. Reconnect the earphones to Device A from its Bluetooth settings.
5. To enable multipoint functionality, activate it within the dedicated PeatsAudio app.

Note: When multipoint connection is active, LDAC codec will be automatically disabled.
