Turn on the water supply completely. Squeeze the trigger gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges. This primes the pump and prevents damage.

Operating Instructions

  1. Starting the Unit:

Press the on/off foot switch located at the base of the unit to turn on the pressure washer. The motor will start when the trigger gun is squeezed and stop when released.

  2. Attaching Nozzles:

Select the appropriate quick-connect nozzle for your cleaning task. Pull back the collar on the spray wand, insert the nozzle, and release the collar to lock it in place. Ensure it is securely seated before operating.

    • 15° Nozzle (Yellow): For intense cleaning of stubborn dirt on hard, non-delicate surfaces.
    • 45° Nozzle (White): For general cleaning of a wide range of surfaces.
    • 65° Soap Nozzle (Black): For applying detergent at low pressure.
    • Turbo Nozzle: Provides a rotating pinpoint stream for maximum cleaning power on tough spots.
  3. Using the Detergent Tank:

Fill the removable 1-gallon detergent tank with Kärcher pressure washer detergent (do not use bleach). Insert the black soap nozzle into the spray wand. The unit will automatically draw detergent when the trigger is squeezed. To switch back to high-pressure water, remove the soap nozzle and replace it with a high-pressure nozzle.

  6. Shutting Down:

Release the trigger gun. Press the on/off foot switch to turn off the unit. Turn off the water supply. Squeeze the trigger gun to release any remaining pressure in the system. Disconnect the garden hose and power cord.

Maintenance

  • Nozzle Cleaning:

Regularly clean the nozzles to prevent blockages. Use the included nozzle cleaning tool to clear any debris from the nozzle orifice.

  • Detergent Tank Cleaning:

After each use with detergent, rinse the detergent tank thoroughly with clean water to prevent residue buildup.

  • Winterization (for cold climates):

To prevent damage from freezing, drain all water from the pump and hoses. Run a pump protector or non-toxic antifreeze through the unit before storing in temperatures below freezing.

  • Storage:

Store the pressure washer in a dry, protected area. The handle can be folded down to minimize storage space. Utilize the integrated storage container for the trigger gun, hose, and spray wand, and the cord wrap for the power cord.
