4. Setup & Installation

The SMETA RV Propane Refrigerator is designed for freestanding installation. Proper ventilation is crucial for efficient operation, especially when using propane. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit as specified in the detailed installation guide (not provided in this manual but typically included with the product).

Ventilation Requirements for Propane Operation:

When operating on propane, the refrigerator requires proper external ventilation to safely exhaust combustion byproducts. This typically involves a top vent and a bottom vent to create a natural draft. Consult a qualified technician for proper installation of the ventilation system, especially in enclosed spaces like RVs or off-grid cabins.

Connecting to Power:

  • 110V AC: Plug the refrigerator into a standard 110V AC outlet.
  • LPG Propane: Connect the unit to a propane gas supply. Ensure the gas inlet pressure is maintained at 2.8Kpa (28mbar). Use appropriate gas lines and fittings, and check for leaks before operation.
