    • Turn the center column lifting rocker arm counter-clockwise to loosen the center column.
    • Raise or lower the center column to the desired height.
    • Turn the rocker arm clockwise to securely lock the center column in place.

    • Screw the quick release plate onto the 1/4" tripod mount thread on the bottom of your camera or smartphone mount. Ensure it is tightened securely.
    • Slide the quick release plate with your device back into the pan head until it clicks into place. Verify it is firmly seated.
  5. Level the Tripod: Use the integrated bubble level on the pan head to ensure the tripod is perfectly horizontal. Adjust leg lengths as needed to achieve a level setup.

Operating Instructions

  1. Adjusting Pan and Tilt:
    • Loosen the main locking knob on the 3-way pan head to allow horizontal (pan) movement.
    • Use the pan handle to smoothly rotate the camera to the desired position.
    • Tighten the main locking knob to secure the pan position.
    • Loosen the tilt locking knob (usually on the side of the head) to adjust the vertical angle (tilt).
    • Tighten the tilt locking knob once the desired angle is achieved.
  2. Switching to Portrait/Landscape Orientation: The 3-way pan head allows for easy switching between portrait and landscape modes. Loosen the appropriate locking knob (often a separate knob for the vertical plate) and rotate your device. Re-tighten the knob to secure.
  3. Folding for Storage:
    • Remove your camera or device from the quick release plate.
    • Lower the center column completely by loosening and then tightening the rocker arm.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the aluminum legs and plastic components with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the anodized finish.
  • Drying: Ensure the tripod is completely dry before folding and storing, especially after use in damp conditions, to prevent corrosion.
  • Storage: Store the tripod in its carrying bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws, knobs, and quick-release locks to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose components gently.
  • Lubrication: Do not apply lubricants to the leg sections or locking mechanisms unless specifically instructed by Fotopro, as this can attract dirt and impair function.
