Setup

1. Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your lawn mower:

1. Attach the Handlebar: Secure the upper and lower handlebar sections using the provided knobs and bolts. Ensure all connections are tight.
2. Install the Grass Catcher: Lift the rear discharge flap and hook the grass catcher onto the mower. Ensure it is securely seated.

2. Battery Charging and Installation

For optimal performance, fully charge both batteries before first use.

• Connect the charger to a power outlet.
• Insert both 20V batteries into the charger slots. Indicator lights will show charging status.
• Once fully charged, remove batteries from the charger.
• Open the battery compartment cover on the mower.
• Insert both charged batteries firmly into their respective slots until they click into place.
• Close the battery compartment cover.

3. Adjusting Cutting Height

The mower offers 4 cutting height positions, ranging from 1.5 inches to 2.8 inches. Adjust the height according to your lawn's needs and grass type.

• Ensure the mower is turned off and the safety key is removed.
• Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower.
• Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired height setting. Ensure it locks firmly into position.

Operating Instructions

1. Starting the Mower

The MZK mower features a two-step activation process for safety:

1. Insert the safety key into its slot.
2. Press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail lever towards the handle. The motor will start. Release the safety button once the motor is running.

2. Mowing Techniques

For best results, mow in straight, overlapping lines. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time. The mower's smart RPM automatic adjustment feature optimizes power for varying grass conditions.

3. Grass Collection and Mulching

Your MZK mower offers 2-in-1 versatility for grass management:

• Rear Bagging: When the grass catcher is attached, clippings are collected for easy disposal. Monitor the fill level and empty the 25-liter bag when full to maintain cutting efficiency.
• Mulching: To mulch grass clippings, remove the grass catcher. The mower will then finely cut and redistribute the clippings back onto the lawn, returning nutrients to the soil.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your mower.

• Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the battery and clean the mower deck and grass chute to prevent grass buildup. Use a damp cloth; do not use water jets or harsh chemicals.
• Blade Care: Periodically inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can affect cutting quality and mower efficiency. Replace if necessary.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Recharge them periodically if not in use.
• Grass Catcher: Empty and clean the grass catcher regularly to prevent mold and maintain airflow.

Storage

The MZK lawn mower is designed for compact storage, saving up to 70% space.

• Disconnect and remove the batteries before storing.
• Fold the handlebar down.
• The mower can be stored vertically to minimize its footprint.
