2. Measurement Modes

The RAYS GR PRO offers three primary measurement methods, plus specialized modes for specific situations:

a. Normal Measurement (Short Press)

This mode measures the distance to the point illuminated by the laser. Look through the viewfinder and align the target mark with your desired object. A short press of the measurement button will display the distance.

b. Continuous Measurement (Double Press)

Press the measurement button twice quickly to activate continuous measurement. The device will continuously measure for 10 seconds, and the displayed distance will update as you move the unit, allowing you to scan various targets like bunkers, creeks, or trees.

c. Seek Measurement (Long Press)

This is a pin search assist mode. When it's difficult to aim at the pin, this mode helps by searching for objects closer than the first measured target. When the pin flag is targeted, a mark is displayed, and the distance is locked upon completion of measurement.

d. New 'Putting Mode'

This innovative mode measures the precise distance from your ball on the green to the cup. It displays the actual distance to be hit, not just the line-of-sight distance, helping you gauge subtle distances around the green for improved scoring.

e. Advanced 3D Measurement Mode

This mode allows you to measure distances from any point to a target, even when you are away from your ball or if obstacles obscure the pin flag. For example, you can measure from your cart to the pin. This is useful for selecting the appropriate club or for blind shots.

3. Slope Compensation Function

The slope compensation feature is beneficial when playing on courses with elevation changes. It calculates the adjusted distance needed for uphill and downhill shots, in addition to the measured linear distance. The device automatically displays the approximate carry distance you should hit, allowing you to swing with confidence.

Competition Mode (Slope ON/OFF)

For competition play, the device includes a function to turn the slope compensation ON/OFF. When slope compensation is OFF, a green LED on the unit will illuminate, indicating compliance with competition rules. Always confirm local rules for competition use.
