5. Installation

The EWeLink WiFi Smart Circuit Breaker is designed for 35MM Din Rail installation.

  1. Power Disconnection: Before beginning installation, ensure that the main power supply to the circuit is completely disconnected at the service panel. Use a voltage tester to confirm that no power is present.
  2. Mounting: Snap the circuit breaker onto a standard 35MM Din Rail within your electrical panel or enclosure. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Wiring:
    • Connect the incoming live wire to the "IN" terminal (top).
    • Connect the outgoing live wire to the "OUT" terminal (bottom) to supply power to your load.
    • Ensure all screw-type terminals are tightened securely to prevent loose connections, which can cause overheating or arcing.
  4. Verification: Double-check all wiring connections for correctness and security.
  5. Power Restoration: Once installation is complete and verified, restore power at the main service panel.

  2. Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  3. Enter Pairing Mode: With the circuit breaker powered on, press and hold the pairing button (refer to device diagram for exact location, usually a small button or the main switch itself if it has a press-and-hold function) until the Wi-Fi indicator light blinks rapidly. This indicates it's in pairing mode.
  4. Add Device in App: In the EWeLink app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Quick Pairing" or the appropriate device type (e.g., "Circuit Breaker" or "Switch").
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Ensure your smartphone is also connected to the same 2.4GHz network during pairing.
  6. Device Discovery: The app will search for and connect to the circuit breaker. Once connected, you can rename the device and assign it to a room.
  7. Firmware Update: Check for any available firmware updates within the app and install them to ensure optimal performance and security.
