6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life and appearance of your tectake Taija awning.

  • Cleaning the Fabric: The polyester fabric is water-repellent and easy to clean. Use a soft brush or cloth with mild soap and water to remove dirt. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely before retracting the awning for storage. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Frame Care: The powder-coated steel frame is durable. Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth periodically to remove dust and debris.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they are tight and secure. Inspect the fabric for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Storage: If storing the awning for an extended period, ensure it is clean and completely dry. Retract the awning fully and store it in a dry, protected area to prevent mildew and damage.
