4. Setup

Placement

  • Place the dehumidifier on a flat, stable surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides of the unit to allow for proper air circulation.
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in areas exposed to splashing water.

Initial Use

  • After unpacking, allow the dehumidifier to stand upright for at least 6 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
  • Before first use, check the air filter at the rear of the unit. Ensure any protective plastic film or packaging material has been removed from the filter.
  • Insert the power plug into a grounded electrical outlet.

Drainage Options

Your dehumidifier offers two drainage methods:

  • Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The unit will collect water in the 5.5-liter tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an alarm will sound. Empty the tank and reinsert it to resume operation.
  • Continuous Drainage: For extended operation without emptying the tank, attach the included 1.2-meter drain hose to the continuous drain port at the rear of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket) to allow water to flow out by gravity.

  • Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  • Empty the collected water.
  • Slide the empty tank back into its position until it clicks securely. The unit will then resume operation.

Cleaning the Air Filter

The washable air filter should be cleaned regularly (every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to maintain optimal performance.

  • Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
  • Locate the air filter screen at the rear of the unit.
  • Gently pull out the filter.
  • Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it with warm, soapy water.

  • Ensure the filter is dry before placing it back into the unit.

General Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
