1. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your KINGDANS A26 Mini Hidden Camera:

1. Insert SD Card: Carefully remove the cover on the side of the camera to reveal the SD card slot. Insert a microSD card (up to 128GB supported, 64GB included).
2. Select Recording Mode: Use the reset pin to toggle between 'L' for continuous recording mode and 'M' for motion detection mode.
3. Set Time (Optional): Connect the camera to a computer using the provided USB cable. A 'TIME' text file will appear. Open it and adjust the date and time format (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS Y) if needed, then save.
4. Power On: Plug the camera into a standard AC outlet. The blue indicator light will illuminate, then slowly flash, indicating standby mode.
5. App Installation & Wi-Fi Connection:
   • Download and install the 'Tuya Smart' app on your smartphone.
   • Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled.
   • Open the app and tap 'Add Device'. The app should automatically detect the 'HD mini Camera'. Tap 'Add'.
   • Select your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Tap 'Next'.
   • Confirm Wi-Fi authentication information and proceed.
   • A QR code will appear on your phone screen. Position the camera's lens 15-20 cm away from the QR code to scan it. You should hear a beep sound.
   • Tap 'I heard a beep sound' in the app. The device will begin connecting. Wait approximately 2 minutes for the connection to complete.
   • Once connected, tap 'Done'. You can now view the live feed.

2. Operating Instructions

Recording Modes

• Continuous Recording (L Mode): When the camera is plugged into a power source and set to 'L' mode, it will automatically begin continuous recording. Recording stops when unplugged.
• Motion Detection Recording (M Mode): When set to 'M' mode, the camera will only record when motion is detected within its field of view. This helps conserve storage space and power.

Charging Functionality

The camera doubles as a functional USB charger. You can charge smartphones, digital cameras, gaming devices, and other digital devices simultaneously while the camera is recording. The included 3-in-1 charging cable allows charging up to three devices at once.

Remote Monitoring

After connecting the camera to your home Wi-Fi, you can monitor real-time video from anywhere using the 'Tuya Smart' app on your smartphone. You can also share the live feed with family members for simultaneous monitoring.

3. Maintenance

SD Card Management

• Loop Recording: The camera features automatic loop recording. When the microSD card's storage is full, the oldest files will be automatically overwritten to continue recording without interruption.
• Formatting SD Card: Before initial use, or if you encounter recording issues, it is recommended to format the microSD card. Connect the camera to a computer to access the SD card and format it.

4. Troubleshooting

Recording Issues (Red/Blue light stays on)

If the red or blue indicator light remains constantly lit and recording does not occur, this may be due to incompatibility between the SD card and the small camera, or an issue with the SD card itself.

Countermeasures:

• Format the SD card.
• Reset the camera.
• If issues persist, try using a different microSD card. SanDisk microSD cards are recommended.

Camera Reset

If the camera is unresponsive or experiencing issues, perform a reset:

1. Remove the SD card from the camera.
2. While the camera is plugged into a power source, use the reset pin to press and hold the reset button until the blue indicator light turns off. Release the button.
3. The blue light will re-illuminate, indicating the reset is complete.
