1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your COSTWAY Countertop Water Dispenser with Ice Maker. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the appliance and retain it for future reference.

This 3-in-1 appliance delivers hot water, cold water, and produces ice cubes, designed for convenience and efficiency in your home or office environment.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances.

• Read all instructions before use.
• Ensure the appliance is connected to a properly grounded outlet.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Supervise children when the appliance is in use, especially near the hot water dispenser, which features a child safety lock.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Place the appliance on a stable, flat surface.
• Maintain adequate ventilation around the unit.

4. Setup and Installation

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is at least 4 inches of clearance from walls for proper ventilation.
3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the water tanks and ice-making components. It is recommended to clean with a mixture of lemon and water to remove any manufacturing odors.
4. Water Supply:
   • Top-Loading Bottle: Place a 3 or 5-gallon water bottle onto the top loading area. Ensure the bottle is securely seated.
   • Manual Refill: Pour water directly into the top reservoir. The hot water tank capacity is 2.5L and the cold water tank capacity is 0.8L.

5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Start-up

After plugging in, the Power indicator light will illuminate. The appliance will begin cooling and heating water, and the ice-making process will start automatically if water is present.

5.2 Dispensing Hot Water

1. Ensure the Hot Water indicator light is on, indicating the water has reached the desired temperature (≥194°F).
2. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the control panel.
3. While holding "Unlock", press the "Hot" button to dispense hot water. Release the button to stop.
4. The child safety lock will automatically re-engage after dispensing.

5.3 Dispensing Cold Water

1. Ensure the Cold Water indicator light is on, indicating the water has reached the desired temperature (≤46.4°F).
2. Press the "Cold" button to dispense cold water. Release the button to stop.

5.4 Ice Making and Dispensing

1. The ice maker will automatically produce 12 bullet-shaped ice cubes per cycle, taking approximately 6 to 13 minutes.
2. The Ice Block indicator light will illuminate when ice is being made.
3. When the ice basket is full, the "Ice Full" reminder will activate, and ice production will pause. It will resume once ice is removed.
4. To dispense ice, press the "Ice" button.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your appliance.

1. Daily Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Empty and clean the drip tray regularly.
2. Water Tank Cleaning:
   • Unplug the unit and drain all water from the hot and cold tanks.
   • Clean the interior of the water tanks with a mild detergent and water, or a lemon and water solution. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Ice Maker Cleaning:
   • Remove the ice basket and clean it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
   • Clean the ice-making components and water reservoir within the ice maker section.
4. Descaling: If mineral deposits accumulate, use a descaling solution suitable for water dispensers. Follow the descaling product's instructions carefully.
5. Air Filter (if applicable): Check and clean the air filter on the back or side of the unit periodically to ensure proper airflow.

Note: We recommend using water bottles with push cap holes greater than 0.78 inches in diameter and neck caps less than 2.7 inches in diameter. Both new machines and those that have been used for a while are unavoidable from smell and can be cleaned with a mixture of lemon and water.
