1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the MHPRO 21V Cordless Drill Driver. This manual provides important information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your tool. Please read it thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference.
The MHPRO 21V Cordless Drill Driver is designed for efficient drilling and screwdriving tasks in various materials such as wood, metal, and plastic. It features a powerful 42Nm torque, two variable speeds, an 18+1 position clutch, and an integrated LED light for enhanced visibility.
2. Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
General Safety Warnings:
- Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating the tool for extended periods. Wear a dust mask if operating in dusty conditions. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. Disconnect the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Battery Pack Use and Care: Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.

This image shows the MHPRO drill driver with a close-up of the battery charge indicator lights (green LEDs) and the forward, lock, and reverse switch positions. The indicator allows monitoring of the battery's charge status.
4.2 Installing/Removing Battery:
- To Install: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- To Remove: Press the battery release button (usually located at the front of the battery pack) and slide the battery out.
4.3 Attaching Drill Bits/Screwdriver Bits:
- Ensure the drill is switched off and the forward/reverse switch is in the central (locked) position.
- Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws.
- Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck, ensuring it is seated as deeply as possible.
- Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Hand-tighten securely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off:
Press the trigger switch to turn the drill on. Release the trigger to turn it off.
5.2 Adjusting Speed:
The drill features two variable speed settings (0-550 RPM and 0-1850 RPM) for different applications.
- Low Speed (0-550 RPM): Use for screwdriving and drilling larger holes in softer materials. Provides higher torque.
- High Speed (0-1850 RPM): Use for drilling smaller holes in harder materials. Provides faster drilling.
To change the speed, use the speed selector switch located on top of the drill. The trigger also provides variable speed control; pressing it further increases the speed.

Figure 3: Two-Speed Gear Selector
This image illustrates the two-speed gear selector on the MHPRO drill driver. It shows the low speed (0-550 RPM) suitable for screwdriving and the high speed (0-1850 RPM) for drilling, with visual representations of each application.
5.3 Adjusting Torque (Clutch Settings):
The drill features an 18+1 position clutch with a maximum torque of 42Nm. This allows you to select the appropriate torque for your task, preventing overtightening screws or damaging materials.
- Rotate the torque adjustment ring (located behind the chuck) to select a setting from 1 to 18. Lower numbers are for smaller screws and softer materials, higher numbers for larger screws and harder materials.
- The drill icon setting is for drilling applications, providing maximum torque without clutch engagement.

Figure 4: Torque Adjustment Ring
This image highlights the 18+1 torque adjustment ring on the MHPRO drill driver, demonstrating its suitability for various materials such as wood, brick, and metal, allowing for precise control during operation.
5.4 Forward/Reverse Rotation:
The forward/reverse switch is located above the trigger. Push it to the left for forward rotation (screwing in/drilling) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws).
- Center Position: Locks the trigger, preventing accidental startup. Always set to this position when changing bits or storing the tool.
5.5 Integrated LED Light:
The integrated LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dark or confined spaces.

Figure 5: Integrated LED Work Light
This image shows the MHPRO drill driver in use, with its integrated LED light brightly illuminating the work surface, enhancing visibility and precision in dimly lit environments.
5.6 Using the Flexible Drill Shaft:
The flexible drill shaft allows you to reach screws or drill in tight, awkward spaces where the main drill body cannot fit.
- Attach the flexible shaft to the drill chuck as you would a regular bit.
- Insert the desired screwdriver bit or small drill bit into the end of the flexible shaft.
- Operate the drill at a lower speed for better control when using the flexible shaft.

This image depicts a person utilizing the MHPRO drill driver with the flexible drill shaft accessory to access and drive a screw in a hard-to-reach area, demonstrating its utility for confined spaces.
Important Note: This drill set does not include a hammer drill mode.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning:
- Keep the ventilation slots of the tool clean to prevent overheating.
- Wipe the tool housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Regularly clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper grip on bits.
6.2 Storage:
- Store the drill and accessories in the provided carry case.
- Store in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- For long-term storage, ensure batteries are partially charged (around 50%) and recharge them every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drill does not start | Battery not charged or improperly installed. Forward/reverse switch in locked position. | Charge battery and ensure it is securely installed. Move forward/reverse switch to forward or reverse position. |
| Loss of power during operation | Battery charge is low. Overload protection activated. | Recharge or replace battery. Reduce pressure on the tool or use a lower speed/torque setting. |
| Bit slips in chuck | Chuck not tightened sufficiently. Bit shank is dirty or damaged. | Ensure chuck is hand-tightened securely. Clean or replace the bit. |
| Excessive vibration or noise | Damaged or bent bit. Loose components. | Replace the bit. Check for loose parts and tighten if possible. If problem persists, contact support. |
