2. Safety Information

Important Safety Precautions:

• Always assemble and disassemble the carport according to the instructions provided.
• Securely anchor the shelter to the ground using the provided sandbags and ropes. Failure to do so may result in damage or injury, especially in windy conditions.
• Exercise caution when using the carport in windy conditions. High winds can compromise stability.
• Keep the shelter clear of any heat sources or open flames. The canopy material and electrical components (solar light, light strip) are not fireproof.
• Ensure adequate clearance around the carport for safe entry and exit of vehicles or equipment.
• Do not hang heavy objects from the frame.

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly typically requires 2-3 people due to the large size of the carport. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Step 1: Assemble the Top Frame. Connect the initial frame pieces to form the roof structure.
2. Step 2: Install Top Reinforced Steel Pipes. Add the reinforced steel pipes to the top frame for enhanced stability.
3. Step 3: Assemble Small Support Beams. Attach the smaller support beams to complete the roof framework.
4. Step 4: Install the Cover and Secure It. Drape the PE canopy top over the assembled roof frame and secure it in place.
5. Step 5: Install Steel Pipes at Four Corners. Attach the vertical steel pipes at each corner of the carport.
6. Step 6: Install Supporting Legs and Side Fabric. Connect the remaining supporting legs and attach the side fabric panels.
7. Step 7: Install Base and Fix with Nails. Secure the base of the carport to the ground using the provided alloy screwed base nails and ground nails.
8. Step 8: Secure the Perimeter and Fix the Carport. Use wind ropes, binding straps, and sandbags to further secure the entire structure, especially in areas prone to wind.

5. Operating Instructions

The Benass Carport Canopy is designed for ease of use and versatility.

5.1. Roll-Up Zipper Doors

The carport features two roll-up zipper doors at each end, allowing for drive-through access. To open, unzip the door completely and roll it upwards, securing it with the attached fasteners. To close, unfasten and unroll the door, then zip it securely.

5.2. Side Mesh Roll-Up Windows

Four side mesh roll-up windows are included to ensure air circulation. To open, unfasten the window cover and roll it up, securing it in the open position. This helps prevent heat buildup and improves ventilation. To close, unroll the cover and secure it.

5.3. Solar Light and Light Strip

The included solar light and light strip provide illumination for night indication. Ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight during the day for optimal charging. The lights will automatically activate in low-light conditions.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Canopy: Clean the PE canopy top with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
• Frame Inspection: Periodically check the galvanized steel frame for any signs of rust, bending, or loose connections. Tighten any loose bolts or connections.
• Anchoring System: Regularly inspect the wind ropes, binding straps, and sandbags to ensure they are securely fastened and in good condition. Re-tension ropes as needed.
• Snow Removal: In areas with heavy snowfall, it is recommended to remove snow accumulation from the canopy to prevent structural damage.
• Storage: If disassembling for storage, clean all components thoroughly and ensure they are completely dry before packing. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

• Carport feels unstable:
  • Ensure all frame connections are securely tightened.
  • Verify that all wind ropes and binding straps are properly tensioned and anchored.
  • Check that sandbags are filled and positioned correctly.
  • In extreme weather, consider temporary disassembly or additional anchoring.
• Water pooling on canopy:
  • Ensure the canopy is taut and evenly stretched over the frame.
  • Check for any sagging areas and adjust the frame or canopy tension if possible.
• Solar light not working:
  • Ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight for several hours during the day.
  • Check for any obstructions blocking the solar panel.
