4. Setup

4.1. CO2 Cartridge Installation

The GLOCK 19 Gen3 airsoft pistol uses a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge (not included) for power. Ensure the pistol is unloaded and on safe before proceeding.

  1. Remove the magazine from the pistol by pressing the magazine release button, typically located near the trigger guard.
  2. Locate the CO2 compartment at the bottom of the magazine. This usually involves sliding a cover or unscrewing a cap.
  3. Insert a new 12-gram CO2 cartridge into the compartment with the narrow neck facing upwards.
  4. Tighten the piercing screw or cap until the CO2 cartridge is firmly seated and pierced. You may hear a small hiss as the seal is made. Do not overtighten.
  5. Replace any covers or caps securely.

4.2. Loading BBs

This airsoft pistol uses 6mm plastic airsoft BBs. The magazine has a capacity of 11 rounds.

  1. With the magazine removed from the pistol, locate the BB follower at the top of the magazine.
  2. Pull the BB follower down to the bottom of the magazine and hold it in place.
  3. Insert 6mm airsoft BBs into the loading slot, typically located at the top front of the magazine, until the magazine is full (11 rounds).
  4. Carefully release the BB follower, ensuring the BBs are properly seated.
  5. Insert the loaded magazine back into the pistol until it clicks securely into place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Firing the Airsoft Pistol

Before firing, ensure you are in a safe environment, wearing eye protection, and have a suitable target.

  1. Ensure the magazine is properly inserted and contains a charged CO2 cartridge and BBs.
  2. Point the airsoft pistol at your intended target.
  3. Disengage the trigger safety by fully depressing the small lever on the trigger itself as you pull the main trigger.
  4. Pull the trigger to fire a BB. This model features a non-blowback design, meaning the slide will not cycle with each shot.
  5. After firing, engage the safety if you are not immediately firing again.

5.2. Safety Features

The GLOCK 19 Gen3 airsoft pistol incorporates a trigger safety mechanism. This safety prevents the pistol from firing unless the trigger is fully depressed, including the small lever integrated into the trigger face. Always familiarize yourself with this feature and ensure it is engaged when the pistol is not in active use.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your airsoft pistol.

6.1. Cleaning

  • Barrel Cleaning: Use a cleaning rod with a small piece of cloth or a cleaning swab. Gently push it through the barrel from the breech end (where the BB enters) to the muzzle. This removes any residue or debris.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the pistol with a clean, damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

6.2. Storage

  • Always remove the CO2 cartridge from the magazine when the airsoft pistol is not in use to prevent seal wear and gas leakage.
  • Store the airsoft pistol in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Ensure the pistol is unloaded and the safety is engaged before storage.
  • Keep the airsoft pistol and BBs stored separately and securely, out of reach of children.
