7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Display on Monitors:
    • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected to both the KVM switch and your monitors/computers.
    • Verify the KVM switch is powered on and the correct computer is selected (check PC1/PC2 LEDs).
    • For laptops connected via USB-C, confirm that the laptop's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode).
    • Try connecting monitors directly to the computer to rule out monitor or cable issues.
  • Keyboard/Mouse Not Responding:
    • Ensure the USB A-B cable (for desktop) or USB-C cable (for laptop) is properly connected between the computer and the KVM switch.
    • Try connecting the keyboard/mouse to different USB 3.0 ports on the KVM switch.
    • If using a wireless keyboard/mouse, ensure the receiver is plugged into a USB 3.0 port on the KVM switch.
    • Restart the KVM switch and the connected computers.
  • Intermittent Connectivity/Display Issues:
    • Ensure all cables are of good quality and securely connected. Loose connections can cause intermittent problems.
    • Verify the 12V/2A power adapter is correctly connected and providing stable power to the KVM switch.
    • Reduce cable lengths if possible, especially for USB 3.0 connections, as longer cables can sometimes lead to signal degradation.
  • Laptop Not Charging:
    • Confirm your laptop's USB-C port supports Power Delivery (PD).
    • Ensure the USB-C cable used is capable of carrying power (the included cable supports this).
    • Verify the 12V/2A power adapter is connected to the KVM switch.

8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KVM switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
