Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to have this unit installed by a qualified professional.

1. Pre-Installation Considerations

• Vehicle Compatibility: This unit is a single DIN car stereo. For installation, you may require an installation frame kit, a special ISO harness, an amplifier adapter, or a CANbus decoder, depending on your vehicle's specific requirements.
• Accessory Compatibility: This unit does not support factory car GPS antennas, backup cameras, Bluetooth, USB ports, or microphones. Only JOYING-specific accessories are compatible.

2. Physical Installation

1. Mounting: Use the provided Single Din Cage, Mounting Sleeve, and Left & Right Brackets to secure the head unit into your vehicle's dashboard.
2. Wiring: Connect the ISO Cable to your vehicle's wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure. Refer to the separate Installation Manual for detailed wiring diagrams.
3. Antenna Connections:
   • Connect the provided WiFi Antenna for stable internet access.
   • Connect the GPS Antenna for accurate navigation.
   • Connect the two 4G Antennas for cellular data connectivity.
4. External Microphone: Connect the external microphone for improved call quality and voice commands.
5. USB Cables: Connect the two USB cables for external device connectivity.
6. AV Cable & Screen Ribbon Cable: Connect these as per the installation manual for display and audio/video signals.

3. Initial Power-Up

Upon inserting your car key and turning on the ignition, the unit will perform an initial boot-up, which may take approximately 30-40 seconds. Subsequent boot-ups will be significantly faster, typically within 2 seconds, entering directly into the user interface.

Operating Instructions

1. Manual Rotatable Screen

The 15.1-inch display can be manually rotated 90 degrees between portrait and landscape orientations to suit your viewing preference. Gently rotate the screen until it clicks into place.

2. CarPlay and Android Auto

3. GPS Navigation

For superior audio quality, connect your external amplifier directly to the head unit using the Optical Fiber or Coaxial Digital Output if your amplifier supports these inputs.
