2. Safety Information
- Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 200 lbs (90.7 kg) for the roof rack basket. Always adhere to your vehicle manufacturer's roof load capacity limits, which may be lower.
- Secure Cargo: Ensure all cargo is securely fastened within the basket to prevent shifting or detachment during transit. Use appropriate tie-downs and cargo nets.
- Installation: Verify that the roof rack basket is correctly and securely installed on your vehicle's crossbars before each use. Regularly check all mounting hardware for tightness.
- Vehicle Clearance: Be aware of the increased height of your vehicle with the roof rack and cargo. Exercise caution when entering garages, car washes, or low-clearance areas.
- Driving Conditions: Adjust driving speed and style to account for the added weight and wind resistance. High speeds, sudden braking, or sharp turns can affect vehicle stability.
- Maintenance: Periodically inspect the roof rack basket for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. Replace any damaged components immediately.
