4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for safe and proper installation of your outdoor wall sconce. If you are unsure about any step, consult a qualified electrician.
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the circuit you are working on is turned off at the main electrical panel (circuit breaker or fuse box).
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Ensure the junction box is securely installed and capable of supporting the fixture's weight.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (included in hardware kit) to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure the plate is oriented correctly for the fixture.
- Make Electrical Connections:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture (usually bare copper or green) to the ground wire from the junction box and the ground screw on the mounting plate.
- Mount Fixture: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it using the provided screws.
- Install Bulb: Insert one E26 base bulb (Max. 60W, not included) into the socket. Do not overtighten.
- Restore Power: Once the fixture is securely installed and the bulb is in place, restore power at the main electrical panel.

5. Operating Instructions
This EMLIVIAR outdoor wall sconce is designed for simple operation once installed.
- Power On: Ensure the light fixture is properly installed and connected to a power source. Turn on the wall switch or circuit breaker controlling the fixture.
- Bulb Type: Use only E26 base bulbs with a maximum wattage of 60W. Compatible bulb types include LED, Incandescent, and CFL.
- Control: The light is controlled by an external wall switch (not included).

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your outdoor wall sconce.
- Cleaning: To clean the fixture, turn off the power and wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing the bulb. Allow the old bulb to cool completely before removing. Screw in the new E26 base bulb (Max. 60W) gently.
