Operating Instructions and Adjustments

The DEVAISE Ergonomic Office Chair offers multiple adjustment options to customize your seating experience for optimal comfort and support.

1. Adjusting Seat Height

To adjust the seat height, locate the lever under the right side of the seat. Pull the lever upwards while seated to lower the seat, or pull it upwards while standing to raise the seat. Release the lever at the desired height. The seat height is continuously adjustable from 48 to 57 cm.

2. Adjusting 3D Headrest

The 3D headrest provides precise neck support. It can be adjusted in three ways:

  • Height Adjustment: Pull the headrest up or push it down to adjust its vertical position (up to 5 cm).
  • Depth Adjustment: Push the headrest forward or pull it backward to adjust its horizontal position (up to 3.5 cm).
  • Rotation: Rotate the headrest up to 55 degrees to find the most comfortable angle for your neck.

3. Adjusting Lumbar Support

The chair features an adjustable lumbar support to provide targeted comfort to your lower back. Rotate the knob located on the backrest to adjust the depth of the lumbar support (up to 3.5 cm), pushing it forward or retracting it to match your spinal curve.

4. Reclining Function and Rocking Tension

The segmented backrest allows for recline from 90° (upright working position) to 125° (relaxed position). To recline, pull the lever located under the left side of the seat outwards. To lock the backrest in an upright position, push the lever inwards. The rocking tension can be adjusted by rotating the round knob located under the seat, allowing you to control the resistance of the recline.

5. Using Flip-up Armrests

The armrests can be flipped up by 90 degrees. This feature allows you to push the chair closer to your desk, saving space, or to accommodate different desk heights. Simply lift the armrests upwards until they lock into the vertical position. To lower them, gently pull them down.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your DEVAISE Ergonomic Office Chair, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the chair surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains on the mesh or foam, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
  • Moving Parts: Ensure the wheels and gas lift operate smoothly. Clean any debris from the wheels if they become stiff.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your DEVAISE Ergonomic Office Chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Chair does not adjust height: Check if the gas lift lever is fully engaged. Ensure no obstructions are preventing the gas lift from functioning. If the gas lift is faulty, it may need replacement.
  • Chair feels unstable/wobbly: Verify that all assembly screws are securely tightened, especially those connecting the base to the seat and the backrest. Ensure the wheels are properly inserted into the base.
  • Wheels do not roll smoothly: Check for hair, dust, or debris caught in the wheels. Clean the wheels thoroughly. Ensure the chair is used on an appropriate surface.
  • Backrest does not recline or lock: Check the recline tension knob and the recline lock lever. Ensure they are in the correct positions for the desired function.
  • Seat feels hard: While the seat is designed with high-density foam for support, initial firmness is normal. Continued use typically softens the cushion slightly.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support for further assistance.
