4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Initial Opening and Battery Installation

1. Locate the hidden keyhole cover on the keypad. Gently press and slide it to the right to reveal the keyhole.
2. Insert one of the emergency backup keys into the keyhole. Turn the key anti-clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
3. Inside the safe, locate the battery compartment on the back of the door. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) with the correct polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment. The keypad should now be powered.

4.2 Setting Your Personal Password

The factory initial password is 159#.

1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge. Press this button.
2. On the keypad, enter your new 3-8 digit PIN, followed by the '#' key.
3. You will hear two beeps, indicating that your new PIN has been successfully set.
4. Test your new password with the door open before closing it.

4.3 Mounting the Safe

The safe can be securely mounted to a wall or floor using the provided expansion screws.

1. Choose a suitable location for your safe. Ensure the surface is solid and can support the weight of the safe and its contents.
2. Mark the positions for the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom of the safe onto your chosen mounting surface.
3. Drill pilot holes into the wall or floor at the marked positions.
4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the expansion screws. Tighten them securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Unlocking the Safe

There are three methods to unlock your FOWORE safe box:

1. Using Your Personal Password (Daily Use):
   Enter your 3-8 digit PIN on the keypad, followed by the '#' key. Once the green light illuminates, turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
2. Using Emergency Backup Keys (First Time Use / Forgotten Code):
   Remove the hidden keyhole cover. Insert the emergency key and turn it anti-clockwise. Simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
3. Using External Battery Box (Emergency Unlock / Batteries Drained):
   If the internal batteries are drained, connect the external battery box to the port on the keypad. Then, enter your personal password followed by '#' and turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

5.2 Silent Mode

To activate or deactivate the keypad buzzer (silent mode):

1. Press and hold the '*' key.
2. While holding '*', press the '8' key.
3. The buzzer will toggle between on and off.

6. Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator lights up to ensure continuous operation.
• Cleaning: Wipe the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Key Storage: Store emergency backup keys in a secure location away from the safe.
• Felt Pad: Use the included felt pad to protect delicate items from scratches inside the safe.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Alarm System

If three incorrect passwords are entered consecutively, the safe's alarm system will activate. To silence the alarm, enter the correct password.

7.2 Lost Keys or Drained Batteries

• Lost Keys: If you lose your emergency backup keys, you can obtain new ones by contacting customer support and providing the unique serial number of your safe's lock hole.
• Drained Batteries: Use the external battery box to power the keypad temporarily and open the safe. Replace the internal batteries immediately.
