6. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your office chair.

  • Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. For faux leather surfaces, use a mild soap solution if necessary, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts for tightness. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain stability and safety.
  • Caster Care: Keep casters free of hair and debris to ensure smooth movement.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the faux leather to fade or crack.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Chair Sinks or Does Not Stay Up: This usually indicates an issue with the gas lift cylinder. Ensure the height adjustment lever is fully engaged. If the problem persists, the gas lift may need replacement.
  • Chair is Wobbly: Check all assembly screws, especially those connecting the base, mechanism, and armrests. Tighten any loose screws. Ensure the chair is on a flat surface.
  • Casters Not Rolling Smoothly: Check for debris (hair, lint) wrapped around the caster wheels. Clean them thoroughly. Ensure casters are fully inserted into the base.
  • Backrest Does Not Recline or Lock: Verify that the recline lever is functioning correctly and not obstructed. Check the connection of the backrest to the seat mechanism.

If these solutions do not resolve the issue, please contact COMHOMA customer support for further assistance.
