Setup and Installation

Mounting the Display

  1. Choose Appropriate Adapter: Select the silicone pad with the appropriate thickness (16mm, 22mm, 28mm, or 25.4mm) based on the diameter of your motorcycle's handlebar. Attach the metal bracket to the handlebar using the selected adapter.
  2. Position the Device: Insert the Carplay display device into the mounting bracket and adjust it to the desired position. The bracket allows for 360° rotation for optimal viewing angle.
  3. Secure Installation: Tighten the adjustment ring on the bracket to securely fasten the display. Ensure the display is stable and does not obstruct your view or controls.

Wiring Connections

The wiring process is straightforward. Connect the main power cable to your motorcycle's ACC +12V and ground wire.

  • Connect the Power Cable to the Carplay display unit.
  • Connect the 2K Front Camera cable to the designated port on the display unit.
  • Connect the 2K Rear Camera cable to the designated port on the display unit.
  • Connect the Wire Controller cable to its respective port.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button located on the device to turn it on or off.

Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Connection

To use wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled.

  1. For Wireless CarPlay:
    • Requires an iPhone with iOS 6 or later.
    • Ensure CarPlay system and voice control are turned on in your iPhone settings.
    • Verify Siri is enabled on your iPhone.
  2. For Wireless Android Auto:
    • Requires a phone that supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
    • Requires a phone running Android 11 or higher.
    • Ensure your phone supports the Android Auto app and is updated to the latest version.
  3. Pair your smartphone with the Jansite Carplay screen via Bluetooth. Once paired, the system will automatically launch CarPlay or Android Auto.

Using the Wired Remote Controller

The wired remote controller provides convenient access to key functions without needing to touch the main screen, enhancing safety during rides.

  • Phone Button: Short press to answer an incoming call. Short press again to hang up an active call.
  • Cycle Button: When connected to Apple CarPlay, briefly press this button to toggle between the main CarPlay interface, the navigation page, the music page, and the dash cam interface.
  • Snap Photo Button: Short press to take a photo using the dash cam.

Dual Bluetooth Connectivity

The system supports dual Bluetooth, allowing you to connect both your smartphone and a Bluetooth-enabled helmet or headphones simultaneously.

  1. Connect your phone to the headset or helmet via Bluetooth.
  2. After the phone is connected to the MT55 Carplay display via Bluetooth, launch CarPlay or Android Auto on your phone.
  3. Audio (music, calls, navigation prompts) will be routed through your Bluetooth headset or helmet.

Note: Please ensure your phone's sound output is set to "ON" in its settings page for audio to transmit correctly.
