Setup Instructions

1. Attaching Your iPad to the Case

1. Gently align your iPad with the case. The case features reinforced corners and a dust-proof silicone design for full protection.
2. Press your iPad firmly into the case until it is securely seated. Ensure all edges are properly covered.

2. Charging the Keyboard

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the keyboard.
2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and a power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, computer USB port).
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours.
4. The keyboard features a 500mAh battery, providing up to 72 hours of continuous use and 90 days of standby time.

3. Pairing the Keyboard via Bluetooth

1. Turn on the keyboard by sliding the power switch. The Bluetooth indicator light will start blinking.
2. On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
3. Ensure Bluetooth is turned On.
4. Look for "HOU Keyboard" or a similar name in the "Other Devices" list and tap to connect.
5. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop blinking and remain solid.

Keyboard Usage

• Typing: The keyboard features a 1.3mm key travel and silent scissor switches for a comfortable typing experience.
• Backlight: The 7-color backlight with 3 adjustable brightness levels allows for comfortable typing in low-light conditions. Use the dedicated function keys to adjust brightness and volume.
• Shortcut Keys: Utilize the independent shortcut keys for increased efficiency. To view available shortcut keys for an app, press and hold the Cmd key.

Trackpad Functionality

The precise multi-touch trackpad supports iOS gestures and offers a 20% larger operating area compared to conventional trackpads, reducing accidental touches.

• Basic Gestures:

Apple Pencil Holder

The case includes a retractable pen holder and a magnetic storage slot for your Apple Pencil (USB-C compatible) or a compatible stylus. Note that charging is not supported in the magnetic slot.

Maintenance
