Safety Information

- High Gain Antenna: For transmitting and receiving signals.
- Volume/Power Knob: Turns the radio on/off and adjusts the volume.
- PTT Key (Push-To-Talk): Press and hold to transmit, release to receive.

Setup
1. Battery Installation and Charging
The radio comes with a 2500mAh Lithium-ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
- Align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks.
- To charge, connect the Type-C USB charging cable to the radio's Type-C port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter.
- The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.

2. Antenna Installation
Screw the provided high gain antenna clockwise onto the antenna connector on top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
3. Initial Power On
Rotate the Volume/Power knob clockwise until you hear a click. The LCD display will light up, indicating the radio is powered on. Continue rotating to adjust the volume.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Use the Volume/Power knob.
- Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Volume/Power knob.
- Transmitting: Press and hold the PTT key to speak. Release to listen.
2. Channel Selection and Frequency Bands
The radio supports 999 channels and operates across multiple frequency bands.
- Channel Mode: Use the arrow keys or numeric keypad to select a channel.
- Frequency Mode: Manually input frequencies using the numeric keypad.
- PMR446 Frequencies: Operates on license-free PMR446 frequencies (446.0-446.1 MHz).
- VHF/UHF Bands: Supports 136-174 MHz (VHF) and 400-470 MHz (UHF).
- Extended Transmitting Bands: 25-29.8MHz, 50-54MHz, 136-174MHz, 350-490MHz.
- Wide Receiving Bands: 0.5-1160MHz.

3. Advanced Features
- CTCSS/DCS: Use Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System (CTCSS) or Digital-Coded Squelch (DCS) for advanced interference security. Refer to the on-screen menu for settings.
- Scanning Function: The radio features an automatic scanning function to detect active channels.
- SOS Emergency Function: Activates an emergency alarm. Consult the manual for specific activation steps.
- VOX (Voice Operated Exchange): Allows hands-free communication. Adjust VOX sensitivity in the menu.
- AM/FM/SSB Reception: The radio supports reception of AM, FM, and SSB signals, including aviation frequency bands.
