3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the lock box.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the back panel.
  3. Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators.
  4. Close the battery compartment securely.

  1. Download the eSmartlock App from your device's app store.

3.3 Fingerprint and Passcode Setup

  • Fingerprints: Use the eSmartlock App to enroll up to 100 unique fingerprints. Follow the in-app prompts for accurate registration.
  • Passcodes: Set up to 20 temporary or permanent digital passcodes through the app. The keypad supports anti-peeping password entry.

3.4 Mounting Options

The lock box can be mounted in two ways:

  • Wall Mount: Use the provided screws and anchors to securely attach the lock box to a wall or other flat surface.
  • Shackle Mount: Attach the adjustable shackle (1.6”–2” range) to hang the lock box on a door handle, fence, or gate. Ensure the shackle is properly secured by pressing the release button inside the open box to insert or remove it.

4. Operating the Lock Box

4.1 Unlocking Methods

The eLinksmart Smart Lock Box offers multiple convenient ways to unlock:

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the biometric sensor. The lock will unlock in approximately 0.2 seconds.
  • Digital Code: Enter your programmed digital code on the illuminated keypad.
  • Bluetooth APP: Open the eSmartlock App on your smartphone, ensure Bluetooth is connected, and tap the unlock icon.
  • Apple Watch: If configured, unlock directly from your Apple Watch.
  • Mechanical Key: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical key to unlock.

4.2 Temporary Passcode Generation

For temporary access, such as for guests or service providers, you can generate temporary passcodes via the eSmartlock App. These codes can be time-limited or single-use, providing enhanced security and control.

4.3 Locking the Device

To lock the device, simply close the front cover firmly. The lock box will automatically engage its locking mechanism. Ensure you hear a click to confirm it is securely locked.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Management

The lock box operates on 3 AAA batteries, providing approximately 360 days or 6,000+ unlocks of usage. Monitor the battery level through the eSmartlock App. When the battery is low, replace the AAA batteries promptly.

5.2 Emergency Power

In case of complete battery depletion, the lock box can be temporarily powered using an emergency USB power bank connected to the USB port on the device. This allows you to unlock the box and replace the batteries.

5.3 Cleaning and Weather Protection

The lock box is IP65-rated, offering protection against rain, snow, and dust. Regularly wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

  • Resetting the Lock Box: To unbind the lock box from your app and reset its settings, remove it from your device list within the eSmartlock App.
