Setup
1. Battery Installation
The scale requires 2 AAA batteries (included). To install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover by sliding it off.
- Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Scale Placement
For accurate readings, place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets or uneven flooring, as this can affect measurement precision.

Operating Instructions
1. Turning On and Off
The EMERIO Digital Personal Scale features an automatic on/off function:
- To Turn On: Gently tap the glass surface with your foot. The display will illuminate and show "0.0 kg" (or your last selected unit), indicating it's ready for use.
- To Turn Off: The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.
2. Taking a Measurement
For accurate body composition analysis, follow these steps:
- Ensure the scale is on a flat, hard surface.
- Step onto the scale barefoot, placing your feet on the four metal electrode pads. Stand still and centered.
- The display will first show your weight, then cycle through other measurements such as body fat percentage, body water percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, and BMI.
- Wait for the display to stabilize and show all readings before stepping off. The scale has a memory function to store your last measurement.

3. Unit Conversion (kg/lb/st)
The scale allows you to switch between kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), and stones (st). The unit conversion button is typically located on the underside of the scale, near the battery compartment. Press this button to cycle through the available units until your desired unit is displayed.
Maintenance and Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity and accuracy of your scale:
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
- Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
