4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to properly set up your NEEWER GM102 Gimbal Head:

  1. Secure the Gimbal Head: Attach the gimbal head to a compatible tripod or monopod using the 3/8" threaded hole at its base. Ensure it is tightened securely.
  2. Attach Quick Release Plate to Camera/Lens: Screw the Arca-type quick release plate onto the tripod collar of your telephoto lens or the base of your camera. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  3. Mount Camera/Lens: Slide the quick release plate with your camera/lens into the quick release clamp on the gimbal head. Tighten the Quick Release Plate Locking Knob to secure your equipment.
  4. Adjust Height: Loosen the Vertical Balance Knob and adjust the vertical position of your camera/lens until it is balanced. Re-tighten the knob.
  5. Adjust Pitch: Loosen the Pitch Locking Knob to adjust the vertical tilt (pitch) of your camera/lens. Once the desired angle is achieved, re-tighten the knob.
  6. Adjust Horizontal Angle: Loosen the Base Locking Knob to rotate the gimbal head horizontally for panoramic adjustments. Re-tighten the knob to lock the position.
