4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Pole Length and Trimmer Head Angle
- Telescopic Pole: The pole extends from 7.5 ft to 9 ft. To adjust, unlock the pole mechanism, extend or retract to the desired length, and lock it securely. This allows for a total reach of up to 15 feet when combined with user height, eliminating the need for a ladder for many tasks.
- Adjustable Trimmer Head: The trimmer head can be adjusted from 0-135° with 6 distinct positions. Press the angle adjustment button (refer to Image 3.2) and pivot the head to the desired angle for trimming high branches, side branches, or low shrubs. Release the button to lock the head in position.

4.2 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer
- To start the trimmer, simultaneously press the power safety button and the on/off trigger (refer to Image 3.2).
- To stop the trimmer, release the on/off trigger.
4.3 Trimming Techniques
- The 20-inch hardened steel double-acting blades are designed for smooth, precise cutting.
- The trimmer can cut branches up to 5/8 inch thick. Do not attempt to cut thicker branches, as this may damage the tool or cause injury.
- Use a sweeping motion to trim hedges and shrubs. For best results, trim small amounts at a time.
- For dense growth, make several passes, gradually reducing the length.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your hedge trimmer.
5.1 Blade Care
- After each use, remove the battery and clean the blades with a stiff brush to remove sap, leaves, and debris.
- Apply a light machine oil or blade lubricant to the blades to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- Always store the trimmer with the blade cover in place to protect the blades and prevent accidental injury.
5.2 Battery Care
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods. Recharge them periodically if not in use.
- The batteries are equipped with overload and temperature protection; however, avoid exposing them to excessive heat or physical damage.
5.3 General Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe down the tool's exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the trimmer in a secure, dry location, out of reach of children. The removable pole design allows for easier storage.
