Safety Instructions and Protection Requirements
Always keep in mind applicable safety instructions and protection requirements and environmental information.
- Before using the battery pack, please carefully read all the instructions and the warning signs on the battery charger, the battery pack.
- Do not disassemble the battery pack.
- If equipment runs shorter than usual, stop using it immediately. Otherwise, it may lead to overheating, fire and even explosion.
- Do not place the battery pack in water or let it get wet in the rain. Short circuit of battery will generate large current due to overheating, and may cause fire or even breakdown.
- Do not burn the battery pack even if it is seriously damaged or completely worn. The battery pack will explode in the fire.
- Be careful to strike or drop off the battery.
- Use equipment only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may trigger a risk of injury and fire.
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for on a type of battery pack may trigger a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Do not place battery pack where the temperature is 40°C or over.
- Put the charger in the room where the temperature is between 10°C and 22°C, and prevent any possible moisture from entering. ⚠️
- When the red light shows on the charger, it indicates that the battery is charging, and the green light indicates that the charge is completed. Charging time is 2 hours in average.
- Make sure the power is consistent with the rated values shown on the charger.
- Charge the battery pack timely before it is completely exhausted. When the power of the equipment is found to be low, please stop using and charge the battery pack.
- Please charge the hot battery pack after cooling it down.
- Do not recharge the battery pack that fully charges already. Overcharging will cut down its service life.
- When not using the battery pack, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects. That can make a connection from one terminal to another. These objects may create short-circuit for the battery terminals causing burning or fire.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may overflow in the battery. Please avoid contact. If you accidentally come into contact with battery leakage, please rinse with water. If the liquid comes into eyes, seek medical attention. Leaking battery fluid may cause allergies, inflammation burns.
- In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be emitted. The battery can be set alight or explode. Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical attention should you experience any adverse effects. The vapours may irritate the respiratory system.
- Service of battery packs should only be performed by authorized service provider.
- If you do not use the equipment for a long time, please charge the battery pack every three months.
Note: Maximum initial battery pack voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Measured under a workload, nominal voltage is 18.

Intended Use
- The equipment is intended for domestic use only. It is intended for cutting branches, slats, hardwood and softwood.
- Read all safety warnings and instructions provided with this equipment. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injuries.
- Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
- Maintain charging temperature for the charger and battery pack between 0°C and 40°C, discharge temperature for the battery pack is 0°C to 50°C.
- Protect the battery pack against heat, e.g. against continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water, and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and short-circuiting.
- Never bend the saw blade.
- Use only original lithium-ion battery pack with the voltage stated on the type plate for battery charging.
- Using other batteries may cause injuries and pose a fire hazard.
- Turn the equipment off immediately if the saw blade becomes blocked.
- To switch on the equipment, press both the "Safety Switch" button and the "trigger" button at the same time.
- To switch off the equipment, release the "trigger" button.
- The sawing speed depends on the material and the working conditions, it could be ascertained through practical tests.
- It is advisable to reduce the sawing speed when placing the saw blade on the workpiece.
- Always use a sturdy support when working on small or thin workpieces.
Operating Instructions
- Do not force the equipment. Use the correct equipment for your application. The correct equipment will work better and be safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the equipment if the “trigger” does not turn it on and off; any equipment that cannot be controlled by the "trigger” is dangerous and must be repaired. ⚠️
- Disconnect the battery pack from the equipment before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the equipment. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the equipment accidentally.
- Keep idle equipment away from children when stored. Do not allow persons unfamiliar with the equipment or these instructions to operate the equipment. The equipment is dangerous if used by untrained users.
- Maintain the equipment. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the equipment's operation. If damaged, have the equipment repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained equipment.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
- Use of equipment for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
- Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the workpiece by hand or against your body to leave it unstable may lead to loss of control.
- Keep hands away from the sawing area. Do not reach under the workpiece. Contact with the saw blade will lead to injuries.
- Hold the equipment firmly with both hands and make sure you have a stable footing. The equipment can be more securely guided with both hands.
- Only bring the equipment into contact with the workpiece when switched on. Otherwise, there is a danger of kickback if the cutting tool jams in the workpiece.
- When the cut is completed, switch off the equipment and then pull the saw blade out of the cut only after it has come to a standstill. In this manner, you can avoid kickback and can place down the equipment securely.
- Always wait until the equipment has come to a complete stop before placing it down. The application tool can jam, causing you to lose control of the equipment.
- Use only undamaged saw blades that are in perfect condition. Bent or dull saw blades can break, negatively influence the cut, or lead to kickback.
- Use suitable detectors to determine if there are hidden supply lines or contact the local utility company for assistance. Contact with electric cables may cause fire and electric shock. Damaging gas lines may lead to explosion. Breaking water pipes may cause property damage.
- Make sure you have firm footing when operating the equipment, especially when using it standing on steps or ladders. Slippery or unstable surfaces can lead you to lose your body balance or lose control over the equipment.
- Any excessive strain may cause the chain of the saw blade to tear. You should replace the equipment.
- Saw with moderate pressure in order to achieve the best outcome. Applying additional pressure increases performance.
- Switch the equipment off immediately if the saw blade gets congested. Widen the sawing gap slightly with a suitable tool and pull the equipment out.
Safety Warnings
- Keep work area clean and well. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate equipment in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. The equipment may create sparks which may ignite the dust and fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating the equipment. Distractions can cause you to lose control. ⚠️
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the equipment. Do not use the equipment while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the equipment may result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye and hand protective tools, such as dust masks, protective gloves, non-skid safety shoes, hard hats, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
- Keep hands away from the sawing area. Do not reach under the workpiece. Direct contact with the saw blade can lead to injuries.
Maintenance
- Repair functions not mentioned here shall be performed by the Service Centre. To ensure the safety of use, only the original parts can be used.
- Remove the battery from the equipment before carrying out work on the equipment (e.g. maintenance, changing tool etc.). The battery should also be removed when it's in transportation and storage. There is a risk of injury from unintentionally pressing the "trigger".
- To ensure operation is safe and efficient, please always keep the saw blade and the ventilation slots clean.
- If the equipment becomes very dirty, this may lead to serious breakdown. For this reason, do not cut materials that generate large quantities of dust from below or overhead.
- Have your equipment serviced by a qualified repair person who uses only identical parts to replace. This will ensure that the safety of the equipment is maintained.
Clearness
- Do not spray the equipment with water or break it into the water. Otherwise, it may cause an electric shock. Keep the ventilator, motor room and equipment handle clean. Use a damp cloth or brush cleaner.
- Always clean the saw blade and protective baffle dry.
Storage
- Please store the battery pack within a temperature range of -20°C to 40°C. For example, do not leave the battery pack in your car in the summer.
- If the equipment will not be used for a long time, please remove the battery before storage.
- The battery and charger should be stored in a dry environment.
- Recommended storage temperature for longer storage time 0°C~30°C.
- The distance between the battery and the combustible must be kept beyond 1.5m (5ft).
To ensure the service life of the equipment and prevent its degradation, store it in a fully charged state.
The battery should be charged and discharged at least once every three months.

Power Display for the Battery
When the tool automatically stopped frequently, please check the remaining battery capacity and charge the battery.
Indicating the remaining battery capacity (on battery)
1. Indicating LEDs, 2. Check button. Press the check button on the battery pack to indicate the remaining battery capacity. The indicating LEDs light up for a few seconds.

NOTE: Depending on the conditions of use and the ambient temperature, the indication may differ slightly from the actual capacity.

- Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet before inserting the battery pack.
- Insert the battery pack into the charger.
- The red LED indicates that the battery is being charged.
- The completion of the charge is indicated by the green LED remaining on continuously.
Note: The charger and battery pack can be left connected with the green LED glowing indefinitely. The charger will keep the battery pack fresh and fully charged.
Operating Instruction: How to remove the chain
Loosen the Bar Tightening Knob counterclockwise and remove the sprocket cover.

Operating Instruction: How to install the chain guide bar
- First load the chain into the guide bar, and insert drive links into the groove of guide bar. (Please note the direction of the cutting teeth.) [Diagram shows putting the chain into the guide bar and a note about cutting teeth direction.]
- With the mounting plate of the guide bar facing upwards, put the bar in place and run the chain around the sprocket, then slide away the bar from the sprocket and gently stretch the chain. [Diagram shows the guide bar being placed and chain around sprocket.]
- Install the sprocket cover, rotate the bar tightening knob clockwise until it is tight. [Diagram shows installing sprocket cover and tightening knob.]
Operating Instruction: How to adjust the tightness of the chain
The tension is correct when the chain springs back after being pulled 1/8" (3 mm) away from the guide bar with light force. You must remove the battery and wear cut-resistant gloves before doing that. There should be no “sag” between the guide bar and the chain on the underside.
- Loosen the Bar Tightening Knob.
- As shown in the picture below, twist the adjusting Chain Tensioning knob clockwise to tension the chain, counterclockwise is for loosening.
- Once chain tension is correct, rotate the bar tightening knob to make sure the sprocket cover is installed securely.

Note:
- The new chain will be stretched in the early stage of use. Please check and adjust to the appropriate tension frequently, because the loose chain is easy to derail, which may lead to rapid wear of the chain and guide bar.
- The chain must be stuck to the sprocket. After installation, please check it again.
Operating Instruction: How to oil the chain
The oil bottle (oil not included) was designed to be easily carried around. You can refill it with bar and chain oil and lubricate the chain on the go. Frequent maintenance of the chain can increase the life of the chain and improve cutting efficiency. Pour a few drops onto the drive links of the chain and the groove of the guide bar.
Warm Tips:
- Any universal bar and chain oil are applicable for lubricating the power chain saws.
