Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the rice cooker and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the rice cooker on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2. Initial Cleaning

  1. Wash the inner pot, inner lid, measuring cup, and rice spatula with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Rice Cooking (White Rice)

  1. Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup.
  2. Wash the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  3. Place the washed rice into the inner pot. Add water up to the corresponding water level mark for white rice.
  4. Close the outer lid securely.
  5. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
  6. Press the '炊飯' (Cook) button to start cooking. The indicator light for '白米' (White Rice) will illuminate.
  7. Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to '保温' (Keep Warm) mode.

2. Using Specific Cooking Courses

The SR-A110D offers several cooking courses for different types of rice and dishes:

  • 無洗米 (Unwashed Rice) Course: For cooking pre-washed rice without the need for rinsing. Select this course using the 'コース' (Course) button until '無洗米' is indicated, then press '炊飯'.
  • 炊き込み (Mixed Rice) Course: For cooking rice with various ingredients. Prepare ingredients and rice according to your recipe, select '炊き込み' using the 'コース' button, then press '炊飯'.
  • おかゆ (Porridge) Course: For preparing rice porridge. Select 'おかゆ' using the 'コース' button, then press '炊飯'.
  • 高速 (High-Speed) Course: For faster cooking when time is limited. Select '高速' using the 'コース' button, then press '炊飯'.
  • エコ炊飯 (Eco Cooking) Course: For energy-efficient cooking. Select 'エコ炊飯' using the 'コース' button, then press '炊飯'.

3. Keep Warm (保温) Function

After cooking, the rice cooker automatically switches to '保温' (Keep Warm) mode to maintain the rice at an optimal serving temperature. To manually activate or deactivate the Keep Warm function, press the '保温' button.

4. Reservation (Timer) Function

To set a delayed cooking start time:

  1. Prepare rice and water in the inner pot as usual.
  2. Press the '予約' (Reservation) button.
  3. Use the '<' and '>' buttons to adjust the desired completion time.
  4. Press '炊飯' (Cook) to confirm the reservation. The timer will start counting down, and cooking will begin automatically at the set time.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your rice cooker. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

1. Inner Pot and Inner Lid Heating Plate

  • Remove the inner pot and the one-touch removable inner lid heating plate.
  • Wash these parts with mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers, as they can damage the non-stick coating.

2. Exterior and Main Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Clean the steam vent and surrounding areas to prevent blockages.
