Setup

Before First Use

  1. Remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate.
  2. Clean the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth.
  3. For the first use, iron an old piece of fabric to remove any manufacturing residues. A small amount of smoke or odor may occur initially; this is normal and will dissipate.

Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the mains and cooled down.
  2. Open the water tank filler cap.
  3. Fill the water tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
  4. Close the filler cap securely.

Operating Instructions

Temperature Settings

  1. Place the iron on its charging base and plug the base into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type. Refer to the garment care label.
  3. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, indicating the iron has reached the selected temperature.

Steam Functions

  • Continuous Steam: Ensure the temperature is set to a steam-compatible level (usually 3 dots or 'MAX'). Slide the steam control to the desired steam output.
  • Steam Boost: Press the steam boost button for an extra burst of steam to tackle stubborn creases. Wait a few seconds between bursts to allow the iron to regenerate steam.
  • Vertical Steaming: Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters from the fabric and press the steam boost button. This is suitable for curtains or hanging garments.

Cordless Operation

  1. Once the iron is heated, lift it from the charging base.
  2. Iron freely without the cord.
  3. When the iron's temperature begins to drop, or for a quick reheat, place it back on the charging base. The indicator light will illuminate, showing it is recharging.
  4. The iron recharges quickly, allowing for continuous ironing sessions by alternating between ironing and placing it on the base.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Soleplate

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
  2. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  3. Do not use abrasive pads, metal objects, or chemical cleaners as these can damage the soleplate.

Descaling

The iron features an integrated anti-calc system. For optimal performance, regular descaling is recommended, especially in hard water areas.

  1. Fill the water tank with tap water.
  2. Heat the iron to its maximum temperature setting.
  3. Unplug the iron and hold it horizontally over a sink.
  4. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, refer to specific model diagrams) or shake the iron gently to allow steam and water to flush out mineral deposits.
  5. Repeat if necessary.

Storage

  1. Empty the water tank after each use.
  2. Allow the iron to cool completely before storing.
  3. Store the iron vertically on its base in a safe, dry place.
