The PRUNUS J-329 is a compact and versatile mini portable radio designed for convenience and clear audio reception. Setup and First Use

Charging the Battery

The PRUNUS J-329 radio is equipped with a rechargeable battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator shows low power, charge the device using the provided USB-C cable.

  • Locate the USB-C charging port on the top of the radio.
  • Insert the USB-C cable into the radio's port and the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  • The charging indicator will illuminate. Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off, depending on the model.

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the red power button (⏻) located on the front panel to turn the radio on or off.

Operating Instructions

Radio Operation (AM/FM)

The J-329 supports both AM and FM radio bands with adjustable tuning steps for global compatibility.

  • Switching Bands: Press the FM or AM 9K/10K buttons to select the desired radio band.
  • AM Tuning Steps: For AM reception, select AM 9K for regions like Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa. Select AM 10K for the USA, Canada, and some South American countries.
  • Tuning: Extend the 14-inch telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM, the internal ferrite bar antenna is used. Use the tuning knob on the side of the radio to precisely adjust the frequency. The large screen will display the current frequency.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the dedicated volume knob on the side.

MP3 Player Operation

The radio supports MP3 and WAV audio playback from a TF (microSD) card.

  • Insert TF Card: Gently insert a TF card (up to 32GB, not included) with your audio files into the TF card slot on the top of the radio.
  • Switch to MP3 Mode: Press the MP3 button to switch to MP3 playback mode. The screen will display "TF" and the track number/time.
  • Playback Controls: Use the Play/Pause, Previous Track, and Next Track buttons to control playback.
  • Repeat Mode: Press the repeat button (circular arrow icon) to cycle through repeat modes: ONE (repeat single track), FOLD (repeat current folder), ALL (repeat all tracks).

Note: The device does not support direct file management or folder navigation on the radio itself. Files are played in the order they were copied to the card.

Sleep Timer Function

The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period.

  • Press the sleep timer button (clock icon) repeatedly to cycle through available durations: 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 240 minutes, or OFF.
  • The selected time will be displayed on the screen. The radio will automatically power off once the timer expires.

Using Headphones

For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones (not included) into the earphone jack on the top of the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute.
