2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating welding and plasma cutting equipment. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in serious injury or death.
- Electric Shock: Welding and plasma cutting can cause electric shock. Ensure proper grounding, wear dry gloves, and inspect cables for damage. Do not work in wet conditions.
- Fumes and Gases: Welding and cutting produce fumes and gases that can be hazardous to health. Work in a well-ventilated area or use a fume extractor.
- Arc Rays: Arc rays can burn eyes and skin. Always wear a welding helmet with appropriate shade, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
- Fire and Explosion: Sparks, hot slag, and hot metal can cause fires. Keep flammable materials away from the work area. Have a fire extinguisher readily available.
- Hot Parts: Welded and cut parts are hot. Allow them to cool before handling or wear appropriate heat-resistant gloves.
- Noise: High noise levels can damage hearing. Wear hearing protection.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands and body clear of moving parts, such as wire feed mechanisms.
- Compressed Gas Cylinders: Handle gas cylinders with care. Secure them properly and use appropriate regulators.
Refer to all applicable safety standards and regulations in your region.

4. Setup
Before operating the machine, ensure all connections are secure and the work area is prepared according to safety guidelines.
4.1. Power Connection
- The machine supports dual voltage 120V/240V. It automatically detects the input voltage.
- Connect the power cable to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the circuit can handle the required amperage for welding or cutting.
4.2. Gas/Air Connection
- For Plasma Cutting: Connect the air hose from your air compressor to the Air Input Connector on the rear panel. Ensure the air filter regulator is properly installed. Set the air pressure according to the PSI guidance (70-75 PSI / 0.48-0.52MPa).
- For MIG Welding (GMAW): Connect the shielding gas cylinder (e.g., Argon/CO2 mix) to the gas inlet on the machine using a suitable regulator and hose.
4.3. Torch and Ground Clamp Connection
- For Welding (MIG/Stick/Lift TIG): Connect the appropriate torch (MIG torch, electrode holder for Stick, or TIG torch for Lift TIG) to the designated connectors. Connect the Earth Clamp to the work piece, ensuring good electrical contact.
- For Plasma Cutting: Connect the plasma torch to the PT-31 Torch Connector and the Earth Clamp to the work piece.
4.4. Wire Feed Setup (for MIG Welding)
- Open the wire feed compartment.
- Install the appropriate wire spool (solid wire or flux core wire) onto the spindle.
- Thread the wire through the drive rollers and into the torch liner. Ensure the drive rollers match the wire size (.030"/.035"/.040").
- Close the compartment and adjust the tension on the drive rollers.
5. Operation
This section details the operation of the various welding and cutting modes.
5.1. Synergic Control MIG (RBC2000 Welder)

Figure 5.1: The large digital display provides accurate data and simplifies setup. In Synergic Control MIG mode, you can easily set welding parameters by selecting the wire size. The machine automatically adjusts voltage and wire feed speed for optimal results, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced welders.
- Select the MIG mode on the control panel.
- Choose the appropriate wire type (Gas/Solid Wire or Gasless Flux Core) and wire diameter (.030"/.035"/.040").
- The machine will suggest optimal settings. Fine-tune if necessary using the control knobs.
- Begin welding, maintaining proper technique and safety precautions.
5.2. Stick Welding (MMA)
- Connect the electrode holder and ground clamp.
- Select MMA mode.
- Adjust the amperage based on the electrode type and thickness of the material.
- Strike an arc and maintain a consistent arc length and travel speed.
5.3. Lift TIG Welding
- Connect a compatible Lift TIG torch (not included) and ground clamp.
- Select Lift TIG mode.
- Adjust the amperage.
- Initiate the arc by gently touching the tungsten electrode to the workpiece and lifting it slightly.
5.4. Plasma Cutting (RBC6000D Plasma Cutter)

Figure 5.2: The plasma cutter features High Frequency (HF) ignition, IGBT Technology, Dual Voltage (120V/240V), Large Capacitance, and Strong Heat Dissipation for efficient and clean cuts.
- Ensure the air compressor is connected and supplying the correct PSI (70-75 PSI).
- Select Plasma Cutting mode.
- Adjust the cutting amperage based on the material thickness. The machine handles 1/2" (12mm) steel at 120V/35A and 5/8" (16mm) at 240V/60A.
- Position the plasma torch nozzle close to the workpiece and activate the trigger to initiate the arc.
