1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the TEWIRROW Purge Wiper and Waste Dispenser. This accessory is specifically designed to enhance the performance and cleanliness of Bambu Lab A1 and A1 Mini 3D printers by automatically managing purge waste.

The purge wiper system is engineered to prevent filament debris buildup, eliminate clogs, and ensure consistent print quality, particularly during multi-color or complex printing projects.

2. Package Contents

3. Installation Instructions

The TEWIRROW Purge Wiper is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps to replace or install the purge wiper on your Bambu Lab A1 or A1 Mini 3D printer.

1. Remove Existing Purge Wiper (if applicable): Locate the screws positioned under the existing purge wiper. Use an appropriate screwdriver to carefully remove these screws.
2. Slide Out Old Wiper: After removing the screws, gently slide the purge wiper out of its bracket. Ensure to move it in the direction indicated in the visual guide (Figure 3.1, top right panel).
3. Install New Purge Wiper: Align the slot of the new purge wiper with the bracket on your 3D printer. Slide the new wiper into place until it is flush with the surface of the bracket (Figure 3.1, bottom left panel).
4. Secure with Screws: Reinsert the screws into their original positions and tighten them securely. Do not overtighten.

Once installed, the purge wiper is ready for operation.

4. Operating Instructions

The TEWIRROW Purge Wiper and Waste Dispenser operates automatically in conjunction with your Bambu Lab A1/A1 Mini 3D printer's functions. No manual intervention is required during printing operations.

• Automatic Cleaning: The system automatically collects and dispenses purge waste during critical printer operations. This includes nozzle cleaning cycles, printer setup routines, filament changes, and pause/resume operations.
• Waste Management: Purged filament is directed into the integrated waste dispenser, preventing accumulation on the print bed or other printer components.

This automated process helps maintain a clean printing environment and contributes to consistent print quality by ensuring the nozzle is free from debris.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your purge wiper system.

• Waste Disposal: Periodically check and empty the collected purge waste from the dispenser. The frequency will depend on your printing volume.
• Inspection: Visually inspect the purge wiper and its metallic flap for any signs of wear, damage, or bending. Over time, these components may wear out due to continuous use.
• Replacement: If the purge wiper shows visible damage, significant wear, or if you observe inadequate nozzle cleaning during print preparation, it is recommended to replace the unit. Refer to Section 3 for replacement instructions.

6. Troubleshooting

• Issue: Inadequate Nozzle Cleaning

  Possible Cause: The purge wiper or its metallic flap may be worn, bent, or damaged.

  Solution: Inspect the purge wiper for visible damage. If wear or damage is present, replace the unit following the instructions in Section 3. Ensure the wiper is securely installed.

• Issue: Filament Debris Buildup

  Possible Cause: The waste dispenser may be full, or the purge wiper is not functioning correctly.

  Solution: Empty the waste dispenser. If the issue persists, inspect the purge wiper for proper installation and any obstructions. Consider replacement if the unit is damaged.
