Setup and Initial Operation
1. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to position 2 (the outermost position). The second hand will stop.
- Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Push the crown back into position 0 (normal operating position). The second hand will resume movement.
2. Setting the Date
- Pull the crown out to position 1 (the middle position).
- Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this is when the date change mechanism is active and could be damaged. If the current time falls within this period, first set the time outside this range, then set the date, and finally reset the correct time.
- Push the crown back into position 0.
3. Initial Chronograph Reset (if needed)
If the chronograph hands are not aligned to the 12 o'clock position after a battery change or impact, they may need to be reset:
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Press button A (top pusher) repeatedly to advance the 1/10th second hand to the 12 o'clock position.
- Press button B (bottom pusher) repeatedly to advance the 60-second hand to the 12 o'clock position.
- Press button A repeatedly to advance the 30-minute hand to the 12 o'clock position.
- Once all chronograph hands are aligned, push the crown back into position 0.
Operating the Chronograph
The chronograph function allows for precise measurement of elapsed time.
- Start: Press button A (top pusher) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
- Stop: Press button A again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands.
- Reset: After stopping, press button B (bottom pusher) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero (12 o'clock) positions.
- Split Time (if applicable): Some chronographs allow for split-time measurement. Consult the specific movement documentation if this feature is desired. For this model, the primary function is start/stop/reset.
Using the Tachymeter
The tachymeter scale on the bezel can be used to measure speed (in km/h or miles/h) over a known distance (e.g., 1 km or 1 mile).
- Start the chronograph at the beginning of the measured distance (e.g., 0 km/mile).
- Stop the chronograph when the distance is completed (e.g., 1 km/mile).
- The number on the tachymeter scale corresponding to the position of the chronograph second hand indicates the average speed.
Maintenance and Care
Cleaning
Regularly clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. For the stainless steel mesh bracelet, a soft brush and mild soapy water can be used, ensuring to rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Water Resistance (10 ATM / 100 M / 330 FT)
Your watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters. This makes it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and showering. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the pushers or crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a 9V battery. When the battery is low, the second hand may jump every few seconds as a low battery indicator. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watchmaker or authorized service center to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Strap Care
The mesh stainless steel bracelet is durable. If you wish to change the strap, this model features a tool-free changeable strap mechanism for convenience. Ensure the new strap is securely attached before wearing.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
- Date Not Changing: Ensure the time is set correctly and the crown is fully pushed in. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM.
- Chronograph Hands Misaligned: Refer to the "Initial Chronograph Reset" section under Setup to realign the hands.
- Water Inside Watch: If condensation or water appears inside the watch, immediately take it to an authorized service center. This indicates a breach in water resistance.
