3. Safety Information and Precautions
- The RO system must be connected to the COLD water supply ONLY.
- Do not install the system in exposure to direct sunlight or harmful chemicals.
- Avoid installing the system near any heat source or outdoors.
- Ensure water stops flowing before disconnecting pipes. Use a towel or bucket for excess water.
- Faucet installation may require drilling holes in the countertop.
- When inserting tubing into quick-connect fittings, ensure it is fully inserted until it reaches the mark on the tubing. Secure with a blue lock clip.
- Do not pull out tubing directly without pressing down the lock sleeve, as this can damage the fitting and cause leakage.
- The system plug must be inserted into a grounding socket that complies with local codes and regulations.
- Keep the power adapter away from water sources, including pipe fittings, the bottom of the basement, and wet floors.
4. Installation Guide
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation of your Waterdrop G5P700A system.
Step 1: Connect the Water Supply (Cold Water Only)
- Shut off the main water supply and remove the existing faucet hose.
- Connect the inlet hose to the cold water valve.
- Insert the "Inlet hose" into the "INLET" water port (white water port) on the RO unit.
Step 2: Install the Smart Faucet
- Insert the faucet spout into the faucet body.
- Insert the faucet stem, power cord, and pure water tubing into the pre-drilled hole on the countertop. (If no existing hole, you will need to drill a 1" hole).
- Under the sink, slip on the mounting washer and tighten it up to secure the faucet.
Step 3: Install the Drain Saddle
- Stick the foam seal onto the front plate of the drain saddle, aligning the holes.
- Choose a convenient spot on the vertical drainpipe and drill a 1/4" hole. Be sure not to penetrate the opposite side of the pipe.
- Slip the front plate over one end of the red drain tubing (without a mark) and into the drilled hole for about 0.6 inches.
- Position the back plate on the drainpipe by tightening the screws and nuts evenly, ensuring the tubing remains in the hole.
- Pop the blue lock clip onto the fitting to secure the connection.
Step 4: Position the System Housing
Ensure enough space under the sink for horizontal placement. The system dimensions are 16.69"L x 5.69"W x 13.9"H. Position the front panel facing you for easy filter replacement and indicator checking. Set aside 2 inches of space around the system to avoid placing it against the cabinet.

Step 5: Connect Tubing
- Before connecting the PE tubing, remove the plugs from corresponding water ports.
- Insert the "PURE" water tubing (blue tubing, pre-attached to the Smart Faucet) into the "PURE" water port (blue water port) on the RO unit.
- Insert the "DRAIN" water tubing (red tubing) into the "DRAIN" water port (red water port) on the RO unit.
- If connecting to a dishwasher: Connect the kitchen faucet inlet hose to end A of the T-adapter. Connect the dishwasher inlet hose to end B of the T-adapter. Connect the system's outlet hose to end C of the T-adapter. Insert the outlet tube directly into the "Kitchen Faucet" inlet and secure with the blue lock clip.
- If not connecting to a dishwasher: Connect the outlet hose to the kitchen faucet hose. Insert the outlet hose into the "Kitchen Faucet" water port and secure with the blue lock clip.
Step 6: Connect Power Cord
- Connect the smart faucet power cord to the "FAUCET" connector at the back of the housing and tighten the nut.
- Insert the DC head of the power adapter into the "POWER" port at the back of the housing.
Step 7: Start up the System
- Turn on the cold water supply valve. Check for leaks at all connections.
- Insert the plug of the power adapter into a grounded electrical socket.
- Flush the system for 35 minutes for first-time use. Turn on the RO faucet. The system will automatically flush. The faucet display will show flushing status, and the outer ring light will flash clockwise.
- Confirm the flush is completed (faucet screen displays a TDS reading) before turning off the Smart Faucet and ensuring no leaks.
- Use cable ties to secure the power adapter firmly in place to prevent movement and malfunction.

5. Operation
Smart Faucet Display
The smart faucet features a built-in TDS sensor that detects water quality and displays the TDS reading when the system is in operation. It also provides filter life reminders.
- TDS Monitor: Real-time display of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in parts per million (ppm).
- Filter Life Reminder: Indicators for CF (Composite Filter) and RO (Reverse Osmosis) filters to notify when replacement is needed.

6. Maintenance
Filter Replacement
The system's filter life indicators (CF and RO) will notify you when to replace the filters based on usage time or capacity, whichever comes first. For optimal filtration, replace filters immediately once they expire.
- CF Filter Lifespan: Up to 6 months
- RO Filter Lifespan: Up to 24 months
- Before removing the filter, turn off the faucet and wait 5 minutes to release internal pressure.
- Twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove it. If difficult, shut off water supply, turn on faucet to release pressure, then try again.
- Pour out any remaining water from the old filter to avoid spills.
- Twist the new filter into the housing in a clockwise direction until secure.
- Reset the filter life indicator by pressing and holding the corresponding filter icon for 7 seconds until the system beeps.
- Flush the new filter: CF filter for 15 minutes, RO filter for 30 minutes.

General Care and Troubleshooting
- Clean the system with clean water only. Do NOT use abrasive tools or spray corrosive liquids (such as gasoline, acetone).
- Keep the drain pipe clear. If blocked, turn off the power and stop using the system to prevent overflow or damage.
- Regularly check for leaks at pipe fittings to prevent property damage.
- Inspect power cords and connections for damage or looseness to avoid electrical hazards.
- For well water: Please use a pre-filter to reduce large particles and protect the system.
