4. Setup and Installation
This MASTER-CHEF range is designed as a freestanding unit. Proper installation is crucial for safety and performance.
4.1. Location and Clearance

4.2. Gas Connection
The freestanding range comes ready for natural gas use. It can be adapted for propane (LP) use by switching the valves. This conversion must be performed by a qualified technician.
4.3. Electrical Connection
Connect the appliance to a properly grounded electrical outlet as specified in the installation guide.
4.4. Leveling
Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the range to ensure the appliance is stable and level on all surfaces.

5. Operating Instructions
This section details the operation of the cooktop burners and the oven.
5.1. Cooktop Burners
The cooktop is equipped with Italian SABAF sealed burners, including 1 ultra-fast burner and 3 fast burners, providing versatile cooking options with even heat distribution.
- Ignition: To ignite a burner, push in and turn the corresponding control knob to the 'Ignite' position. Hold for a few seconds until the flame is stable.
- Adjusting Flame: Once ignited, adjust the flame size by turning the knob between 'High' (H) and 'Low' (L) settings.
- Burner Types: Utilize the ultra-fast burner for rapid boiling or searing, and the fast burners for general cooking, simmering, or stir-frying.

5.2. Oven Operation
The oven has a 3.0 cubic feet capacity and is controlled by a dedicated knob on the control panel.
- Setting Temperature: Turn the oven control knob to the desired temperature. The oven will preheat to the selected temperature.
- Oven Racks: The oven includes 2 racks, which can be positioned at various heights to accommodate different cooking needs.
- Storage Drawer: A convenient storage drawer is located beneath the oven for storing cookware.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your range.
- Cooktop: The non-stick base of the cooktop ensures effortless cleaning. Wipe down spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Grates: The cast iron grills are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning. Allow them to cool completely before handling.
- Oven Interior: For light soil, wipe with a damp cloth. For heavier soil, use an oven cleaner specifically designed for gas ovens, following the product instructions carefully.
- Exterior Surfaces: Clean stainless steel surfaces with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner to maintain its finish.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your range, refer to the following general troubleshooting advice. For complex problems, contact a qualified service technician.
- Burner Not Igniting: Check if the gas supply is on. Ensure the burner cap is correctly seated. Clean any debris from the igniter.
- Uneven Oven Heating: Ensure the oven racks are properly positioned and not obstructing airflow. Avoid opening the oven door frequently during cooking.
