3. Setup

3.1 Physical Overview

3.2 Hardware Installation

  1. Hard Drive Installation:
    • Unscrew and remove the top cover of the DVR.
    • Connect the SATA data and power cables to the hard drive.
    • Secure the hard drive to the DVR chassis using the provided screws.
    • Replace the top cover and secure it with screws.
  2. Connect Cameras:
    • For analog cameras, connect BNC cables from the cameras to the BNC input ports on the DVR.
    • For IP cameras, connect them to your network switch. Ensure the DVR is also connected to the same network via its Ethernet port.
  3. Connect Display: Connect a monitor to the DVR's HDMI or VGA output port.
  4. Connect Mouse: Plug the USB mouse into one of the DVR's USB ports.

  • Recording Schedule: Set specific times for continuous, motion-triggered, or alarm-triggered recording.
  • Recording Parameters: Adjust resolution, frame rate, and compression (H.265/H.264) for each channel.

4.3 Playback

To review recorded footage:

  1. Right-click on the live view to open the main menu.
  2. Select 'Playback'.
  3. Choose the desired date and camera channel.
  4. Use the timeline to navigate through recordings.

4.4 Video Analytics

The DVR supports pixel-based video analytics. For compatible IP cameras, AI analytics features may also be available. These features can be configured in the 'Event' or 'Smart Analysis' section of the main menu. Common analytics include:

No Video Output
