3. Setup

3.1. Pedal Installation

The Assioma PRO MX-2 pedals are designed for easy installation, similar to standard bicycle pedals. No special tools are required beyond a pedal wrench.

  1. Ensure your crank arms are clean and free of debris.
  2. Apply a small amount of grease to the pedal threads.
  3. Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The right pedal threads clockwise, and the left pedal threads counter-clockwise.
  4. Carefully thread each pedal into its respective crank arm by hand to avoid cross-threading.
  5. Use a pedal wrench to tighten the pedals securely. Refer to your crank manufacturer's specifications for torque values, typically around 35-40 Nm.
  6. If your crank arm requires washers to prevent contact with the pedal body, install them as needed. Four washers are included in the package.

  1. Attach the cleats to your MTB shoes according to the cleat manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Adjust the cleat position for optimal comfort and pedaling efficiency.

3.3. Pairing with Devices

The Assioma PRO MX-2 pedals transmit data via Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity, allowing pairing with various cycling GPS computers, smartphones, and other compatible devices.

  1. Ensure your cycling computer or smartphone is powered on and Bluetooth/ANT+ is enabled.
  2. Rotate the pedals a few times to wake them up.
  3. On your device, navigate to the sensor pairing menu.
  4. Select the Assioma PRO MX-2 from the list of available sensors.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

4. Operating

4.1. Power Measurement and Accuracy

The Assioma PRO MX-2 utilizes a dual-sensing system, measuring power independently from both pedals. Its IAV Power System, incorporating a three-axis gyroscope, accounts for variations in pedaling dynamics, ensuring a high degree of accuracy (±1%) in real-world conditions. Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) maintains consistent measurements across temperatures from -10°C to 55°C.

  1. Connect the magnetic charging connectors to the charging ports on each pedal.
  2. Connect the USB Type-C 2-way Charging Cable to the magnetic connectors and a suitable USB power source.
  3. The LED indicator on the pedals will show the charging status. Refer to the Favero Assioma app for detailed battery levels.

5.2. Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your pedals.

5.3. Durability
