4.2 Assembling the Trimmer Shaft

The trimmer features an attachment-capable carbon fiber shaft. Align the arrows on the upper and lower shafts, then push them together until the spring-loaded button locks into the hole. Tighten the coupling knob securely.

4.3 Adjusting the Auxiliary Handle

Loosen the knob on the auxiliary handle. Adjust the handle to a comfortable operating position that allows for good balance and control. Retighten the knob firmly.

4.4 Adjusting the Cutting Width

The trimmer's cutting width can be adjusted from 14 inches to 16 inches using the sliding guard. This allows for customization based on performance needs (wider for faster cutting) or runtime needs (narrower for extended battery life).

  1. Ensure the battery is removed from the trimmer.
  2. Locate the sliding guard mechanism near the trimmer head.
  3. Adjust the guard to the desired cutting width (14" or 16"). No tools are required for this adjustment.
  4. Ensure the guard is securely in place before operation.

  4. Release the safety lock-out button once the trimmer is running.

5.2 Trimming Techniques

  • Sweeping Motion: Use a side-to-side sweeping motion, keeping the trimmer head slightly above the ground.
  • Edging: For edging, tilt the trimmer head to a vertical position and guide the cutting line along the edge of the lawn or pathway.
  • Cutting Height: Adjust your body position to achieve the desired cutting height. Avoid scalping the lawn.
  • Avoid Overloading: Do not force the trimmer through thick vegetation. Take smaller passes to prevent motor strain and ensure efficient cutting.

  4. Refer to the specific attachment's manual for detailed operating instructions.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your string trimmer. Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance.

  • After each use, clean the trimmer head and guard of any grass clippings, dirt, or debris. Use a dry cloth or soft brush.
  • Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the tool.
  • Ensure ventilation openings are clear of obstructions to prevent overheating.

6.2 Line Replacement

When the cutting line becomes too short or breaks, it needs to be replaced. Refer to the trimmer head's specific instructions for line replacement. Use only the recommended diameter and type of cutting line.
