Basic Coffee Brewing
- Fill Water Tank: Open the lid and fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups, indicated by the water level indicator.

Brew Strength Control
Customize your coffee's intensity with the brew strength control feature.

Before starting the brew cycle, select either Regular for a standard coffee or Strong for a more intense flavor. This setting adjusts the brewing process to extract more flavor from the coffee grounds.
Advanced Infusion System
The Homtone coffee machine utilizes an advanced showerhead infusion system. This technology ensures that water is evenly distributed over the coffee grounds, leading to a more complete and optimal extraction of flavor and aroma compared to single-hole water dispersion.

Daily Cleaning
- Carafe and Filter: After each use, wash the thermal carafe, filter holder, and permanent filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are generally not dishwasher safe unless specified.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly.
Descaling (Automatic Cleaning Function)
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee machine over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. The Homtone CM1706WE features an automatic cleaning function for descaling.
- Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions, or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Fill the water tank with this solution up to the maximum level.
- Start Cleaning Cycle: Ensure the permanent filter is removed. Place the empty thermal carafe on the warming plate. Press the 'CLEAN' button on the control panel. The machine will initiate a descaling cycle.
- Rinse Cycles: After the descaling cycle is complete, discard the solution. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and run two full brew cycles (without coffee) to rinse the machine thoroughly.
- Frequency: Descale your coffee machine every 2-4 weeks, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
