3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the S6-1200-A unit.

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the S6-1200-A unit.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The LED screen will indicate charging status. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

3.2 Installation on Helmet

The S6-1200-A unit can be mounted to most motorcycle helmets using the provided bracket.

  1. Choose a suitable location on the side of your helmet, typically on the left side.
  2. Securely attach the mounting bracket to the helmet. Ensure it is firm and does not obstruct your vision or helmet functionality.
  3. Slide the S6-1200-A unit onto the bracket until it clicks into place.
  4. Install the speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets and route the microphone to a position near your mouth. Ensure cables are tucked away neatly.

3.3 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for approximately 3 seconds until the LED screen illuminates.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED screen turns off.

3.4 Bluetooth Pairing with Mobile Phone

To connect your S6-1200-A to your mobile phone for calls and music:

  1. Ensure the S6-1200-A is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED screen shows "PAIRING" or a similar indication, and the Bluetooth indicator flashes.
  3. On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  4. Select "EuroFone S6-1200-A" from the list of available devices.
  5. Once paired, the LED screen will show a connected status, and the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing or change color.

3.5 Intercom Pairing (2 Riders)

The S6-1200-A supports intercom communication between two riders. To pair two units:

  1. Ensure both S6-1200-A units are powered on and not connected to any other devices.
  2. On both units, simultaneously press and hold the Intercom button (refer to your unit's specific button layout, often marked with a helmet or intercom icon) for approximately 5 seconds until they enter intercom pairing mode (LED screen may show "INTERCOM PAIRING").
  3. The units will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, the LED screen will indicate an active intercom link.
  4. To add more riders (up to 6 total, 2 simultaneous), repeat the pairing process with additional units. The host unit can select which of the 5 paired units to communicate with.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Phone Call Functions

  • Answer Call: Short press the Phone button (usually marked with a phone icon).
  • End Call: Short press the Phone button during a call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Phone button for 2 seconds when a call comes in.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Phone button.

4.2 Music Playback

After pairing with your mobile phone, you can control music playback.

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Multi-function button (often the 'A' button or a central button).
  • Next Track: Short press the 'B' button (or a 'Next' button).
  • Previous Track: Short press the 'D' button (or a 'Previous' button).
  • Volume Up: Short press the 'E' button (or a '+' button).
  • Volume Down: Short press the 'C' button (or a '-' button).

4.3 Music Sharing

The S6-1200-A allows two riders to share music from one device.

  1. Ensure both S6-1200-A units are paired for intercom.
  2. Start music playback on the host unit's connected phone.
  3. Activate music sharing (specific button combination may vary, refer to quick start guide for exact steps, often a long press on a specific button).

4.4 Intercom Communication

  • Start Intercom: After successful intercom pairing, short press the Intercom button on either unit to initiate communication.
  • End Intercom: Short press the Intercom button again to end the conversation.
  • Switch Intercom Partner (for 6-rider paired systems): If multiple units are paired, the host unit can cycle through partners by pressing a designated button (check quick start guide for specific button).

4.5 FM Radio

The S6-1200-A has a built-in FM radio.

  • Turn On/Off FM Radio: Press and hold the FM button (or a designated button for FM) for 2 seconds.
  • Scan Channels: Short press the 'B' or 'D' buttons to scan for the next or previous available FM station.

4.6 Voice Assistant

Activate your phone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant) through the S6-1200-A.

  • Activate Voice Assistant: Double-press the Phone button (or a designated button) when not on a call or intercom.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • The unit is IP67 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes and rain, but avoid prolonged submersion.

5.2 Storage

  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months to prolong its lifespan.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger and try powering on again.
  • No Sound: Check volume levels on both the headset and your connected phone. Ensure speakers are properly connected to the unit.
  • Cannot Pair Bluetooth: Ensure the headset is in pairing mode (flashing indicator). Turn off and on your phone's Bluetooth and try again. Clear previous pairings if necessary.
  • Intercom Disconnects: Ensure units are within the 1200M range and there are no significant obstructions. Re-initiate intercom connection.
  • Poor Audio Quality: Check microphone and speaker placement. Ensure CVC noise reduction is active.
