Step 1: Measure the Dimensions

Before installation, measure your door's dimensions to ensure compatibility.

  • Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 or 70mm)
  • Hole diameter: 2-1/8" (54mm)
  • Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35 to 50mm)
  • Ensure the door frame is aligned with the door. Verify there are no obstructions in the door frame. Make sure the hole in the door frame is drilled a minimum of 1" (25mm) depth.

Step 2: Install the Latch and Strike

Install the latch into the door edge. Ensure the beveled edge of the lock tongue is positioned to face the direction in which the door swings shut. If your backset is 2-3/4" (70mm), extend the length of the latch by pulling the locking square hole. Confirm the type of hole in the edge of the door frame; if it is not chiseled, a drive-in collar is needed. Install the strike plate on the door frame, aligning it with the latch direction.

Step 3: Install Exterior Assembly

Align the Exterior Knob with the Exterior Assembly and push it in until it clicks into place. Route the cable above the latch, keep the torque blade horizontal, and insert the torque blade through the slot in the latch. Install the mounting plate with the mounting plate screws, ensuring it is parallel to the door edge. Do not overtighten screws.

Step 4: Install Interior Assembly

Keep the thumb turn in the vertical position and install the interior assembly. Ensure any excess cable is pushed into the socket to avoid clamping and possibly affecting the use of the lock. Attach the Interior Assembly to the Mounting Plate, making sure the Interior Assembly Screws reach the screw threads on the Mounting Plate, and tighten the 3 screws. Do not load batteries until the lock is completely installed.

Step 5: Reset the Lock

To reset the lock:

  1. Keep the door open and turn the thumb turn to the Horizontal position (Unlocked).
  2. Press and hold the Reset button by using the reset tool, at the same time take out one battery and then place it back.
  3. Keep holding the Reset button for 3 seconds, until you hear the sound of “beep” and the latch rotating, the thumb turn will be turned to the Vertical position automatically.

IMPORTANT: The resetting will delete all User Codes stored in the lock.

Passage Mode

For situations where the door needs to remain unlocked, such as parties or high-traffic periods, activate Passage Mode. This keeps the lock disengaged until manually re-locked.

Anti-Peep Keypad

The anti-peep function allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing your code based on fingerprint smudges or observation.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The lock requires 4 AA batteries. When the battery alert indicates low power, replace all four batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
